I fully believe one of the next airports added will be an African fully modelled one, hedging my bets on South Africa, might get a generic airport around the same time or earlier, somewhere in Central or Eastern Africa to allow smaller aircraft to be operated as well.
It isn’t the forgotten continent, it’s just likely the player base is much smaller and the addition of 2 South American airports and then Hong Kong is for larger playerbases. It will come soon.

Africa isn’t forgotten. We’ll focus on it next year. The plan is to make one realistic 3D airport and a few more generic ones to build a working network there.

The tires on the Boeing B757 family appear oval in the game. An addition to that, the doors when opened on the B757 family have the livery of the plane on the inside of the doors. And the doors on the DH64, MD-11 family just disappear when opening.

Are we also going to see taxiway level included in the reworking as well? For more details, I will include the possible improvement for taxiways:

  1. Rapid exit taxiway. This is extremely important for airports like LHR and other single-runway airports to increase landing volume, and it can make the high-speed tower function more valuable (once all functions have the realistic speed/pause, the high-speed tower can reduce that pause/increase speed).
  2. High-speed taxiway. This usually depends on the airport, but some of the parallel taxiways can taxi much faster than the ramp one, when the ATC is different on the ground and taxi. This difference can make the gate area more “real“ as planes will need to take some time to move in and out, while clearing the parallel taxiway faster until it hits near the runway.
  3. Taxiway level based on wingspan. We already have this in some airports near the ramp, but for most airports, they are not designed for F or larger planes to taxi freely in and out. They usually have set taxiways that differ from standard procedures to make sure outer engines won’t blow out or suck in any infrastructure.
  4. Auto path-finder. Based on the fullness of the taxiway and the usage of other airplanes, planes can find their own route instead of only following one possible route during the procedure. This can add more realism to the game and reduce blockage since the plane will find the path to line up that influences the other less, and the other plane that has been blocked will find another way to go around, which will especially help airports like GRU, where the takeoff line usually blocks incoming planes on the takeoff side of the ramp. This will also use more taxiway than right now, as one of the issues in the game now is that we are only using a partial portion of the taxiway system. HKG will be a good example as black line is the not used taxiway.

That is all I have relate to taxiway system alone, the other stuff such as deice apron, long term stop towing system, single engine operation during landing taxi, far pushback location might include more interaction with other components in the game. Wish some of these can be see in the game soon!

Wonder what the other three airports are that in for real detail treatment, also the next generic airport hope it’s LCY :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

So does that mean we lose stands at Heathrow? I know in real life the stands you have as passenger stands like the ones near ATC in T5, old T1 stands and some remote T2 stands are used for aircraft that arrive in the morning then depart in the evening?
