:pushpin: Why should this livery be added?
The livery was a hybrid worn prior to the aircraft’s retirement when BMI was merged into British Airways. The livery would add some extra variety for both BMI and LHR (where it was based prior to retirement), whilst also giving the airline more than one livery to choose from on long haul routes.

Seems it got painted into this due to being leased to Turkish Airlines fully painted in their livery in 2010 and it was easier to paint into the Star Alliance scheme on return, but then was painted in this once Lufthansa sold the airline to BA when it was butchered by the latter. Aircraft went on to fly with TCX which is cool.
