The C30J code did not come about until the C-130J Super Hercules, which is in game. Prior to this, the ICAO code was C130 for all other aircraft of the family. However, for gameplay, it may be worthwhile to change the “code” to represent the variants, ex. C30H
Differentiating between C-130 and L-100 is possible because the L-100 lacks the side/forward windows underneath the main windshield, which C-130 variants have.L-100 Variants:
L-100 - Initial version
L-100-20 - Stretched version with 5 ft (1.5 m) addition forward 3 ft 4 in (1.02 m) addition aft of the wing.
L-100-30 - Further stretched version with additional 6 ft 8 in (2.03 m) of fuselage.
L-100M-30 - Military conversion of stretched variant
L-100-30(P) - Operated by Merpati Airlines, configured with 97 coach seats and passenger windows
L-100-30(C) - Combi(?) version operated by at least Maximus Air Cargo
LM-100J-30 - Updated civil model based on the military C-130JC-130 Variants (not comprehensive):
C-130A/B - Initial version with two different engines
C-130E/K - Two external underwing fuel tanks added, 130K is for RAF
C-130F/G - Variants procured for USN/USMC
C-130H/T - Identical to C-130E with more powerful engines, 130T is for USN/USMC
C-130J - New improved version, with 6 bladed propellers, already in game
WC-130 - Weather reconnaissance version
