Why should this livery be added?
I love the A340-500/600 and Cathay’s old livery is one of my personal favourites and would be brilliant to see in game. The 3 that Cathay operated between 2002-2009 were transferred to Hainan when Cathay no longer required them. Was a regular on the HKG - LHR route.
I hope this can show up at HKG release (devs did the same thing to A346 of Thai at BKK release)!

I hope so too. We’re only lacking 2 -600s I think, this and Hainan so it’d be nice to have a sleet of these at HKG.

Yeah used to love the classic china eastern.
Completely forgot about China Eastern. Plus they had the snazzy sustainability livery on one of theirs too. I have a model of both I think as well

Oh China Eastern’s A346, I had some stories with that.
I am sure I flew on it once from their hub in Shanghai to another Chinese city, onboard its A346, thinking it should be 10 years ago, time goes fast!
Another story is more interesting but not about the standard livery.
A partner (yes a business partner) from China asked me if I am able to source a China Eastern Skyteam A346 model (must be in good condition) in Australia and willing to pay $US 300+ for that and he was also happy to pay service fees to me.
Didn’t know if he got that in the end and I don’t have contact with him right now since he ceased that business. I emailed him and say sorry but I didn’t find any matching item on sale in Australia when he told me he was to leave the industry (then he replied fine he will try to find it somewhere else). As someone who works in international trading, this is the one of the weirdest requests I’ve ever had.
Plus another Chinese A346 operator was Hainan Airlines, and I heard their A346s were from Cathay Pacific.
Are the little stickers by the doors indicating its working for Cathay? It’s too small to see properly . I’ve always loved the -500 and -600 as they’re so gangly and odd looking. Like the Diplodocus of the plane world.
You could be right as on airliners.net the airline name of the photo was “Hainan Airlines (Cathay Pacific)”

Someone suggested it before so that’s pretty good.
I hope they can be in the game when A346 is reworked. And I will assume that to be their true flagship (not A339!) then send them from their Chinese hubs (PEK, CKG, SZX, and so on) to SYD and LHR!
*And sorry devs I won’t have A346 contracts from Hainan in PRG but A339 instead
