:pushpin: Why should this airline be added?
In November 1997, Britannia Airways and its parent Thomson Holiday Group (See this later B752) decided to expand into the German holiday market, especially targeting the longer haul market which was lacking in options. The airlinesโ€™ first flight was from Berlin to the Dominican Republic and after the first year it was clearly a great success carrying over 1 million passengers in 1998 across the 4 767โ€™s it operated that year. It switched some around between itself and its parent so never had more than 4 operating at a time.

By 2000, it was operating flights from Germany (At its main bases of Berlin and Frankfurt) as well as some flights from Munich and Dusseldorf. It had also expanded to providing flights from Zurich (Itโ€™s coming soon!) and Vienna to the Caribbean and Africa.

In that year, however, TUI Group purchased Thomson Holidays Group and thus took over their in-house airline Britannia and its subsidiaryโ€™s. TUI already had its own in-house airline operating long haul routes called Hapag-Lloyd Flug (Iโ€™ve done a post for the later airline) so opted to shut down Britannia Germany and absorbing its operations into its own whilst the 4 767โ€™s in the fleet were transferred back to the parent, 3 to the UK and one to Sweden.

It would be a fun bonus airline to come alongside Britannia when itโ€™s added I hope in the future and could add more variety for players flights to their airports.
