Main international airport of Dubai. Airport can operate all plane sizes. The airport has a total capacity of 90 million passengers annually. As of January 2025, over 8,500 weekly flights are operated by more than 100 airlines to over 270 destinations across all inhabited continents. It is very importaint travelling airport and one of nost bussiest. There are 3 main terminals ( 1, 2, 3 ). Airport has 2 asphalt runways:
-12L/30R, 4,000 meters or 13,123 feet
-12R/30L, 4,450 meters or 14,600 feet

Why should this airport be added to World of Airports?
Answer: Very importaint travelling spot between Europe, Asia and Africa. There are also many routes to other continents. Airport won awards for most passingers in a year and as bussiest airport.
(We know that it is too close to Muscat, but someone had to prepose it.)

Because there are many taxi ways, terminals, a lot of traffic and more, it would be very hard to handle it at higher levels. It would be very interesting to handle more different airlines that come from all inhabited continents.

DXB is a great airport with minimal footprint with very large capacity. Whereas only one thing would be a problem…

It will be decommissioned after DWC expansion completes…

Wow I didnt know they will close DXB. I knew that DWC is going to be build once, but didnt know DXB will be closed . If DWC will be build in 2033, so 8 years or less remains for DXB. It would be very hard to lose very famous airport in aviation. Maybe the creators of WoA can create DXB as a tribute or memory of this legendary airport that will one day close, but it is still time till then. Now I really wish that airport in next 8 years for WoA!

Yeah, I’d really love to see DXB in the game! It’s one of the biggest and most important aviation hubs in the world. There are routes from DXB to almost every major and secondary city, and all the top tourist destinations across every continent.

Emirates also has a massive fleet — the biggest A380 fleet in the world — and so many cool special liveries that could be great for in-game events! And since A380 contracts cost a lot of Wollars (hehe) , I think it would be a fun challenge if the airport also had to support a full, realistic route network like in real life.

Another thing is, in real life, plane spotting at DXB is super hard. The weather in Dubai and strict local laws make it really tough, so we don’t get to see a lot of spotting content from there like we do with other airports. That’s why I think having DXB in the game would be really unique and exciting. I really hope it makes it in one day!

I agree. As I work for EK id love it replicate our monstrous home hub in my favourite game. Id love to be able make the special liveries regular contracts. Even by paying with GP or double the dollar cost of a normal 777 or A380 route. Not to mention the pax/cargo variety (yes I know most are at dwc but we can bring them back to DXB)

After being in Dubai for a week and staying at an airport hotel DXB would be an incredible option. The vast amount of airlines is arguably bigger than any other and covers all bases of people’s requests with the number of middle east, African and Asian airlines present. Could mix in the DWC cargo airlines back to DXB also to make it a real thriving hub
