Why should this airline be added?
Founded in 2004 by Muneer Bankole, Med-View Airline was a Nigerian charter airline that mainly operated Hajj flights, and in November 2012, Med-View Airline would begin domestic passenger services to cities like Abuja, Kano, and Lagos. It would later expand into regional routes like Abidjan, Accra, Conakry, Dakar, Freetown & Monrovia and also long-haul scheduled passenger routes to Dubai & London Gatwick.Cracks began to show in Med-View Airline after being listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange in January 2017, when it laid off 90% of its employees between November 2017 and June 2018 as the airline sacked and owes existing workers at least 1.5 billion Naira ($4,225,350 in USD at the time) in salary arrears, pension and other entitlements as well as suspending international routes due to debts and decreased aircrafts.
In August 2019, Med-View Airlines ceased all operations as a result of operating aircrafts out of service, with Nigerian airline being banned by the European Union.
