São Paulo/Guarulhos International Airport is the next airport?
Will make a great south American airport, it had two runways which I’m curious how they will make work
Love you guys from Brazil!
Cannot wait to fly into Sao Paulo!
Am quite excited about this!
Call me crazy but this might be the actual SAN 2.0, i mean similair layout with the terminals, but an extra runway and many L stands
Some statistics
Runways
Direction (m) (ft)
10R/28L 3,000 9,843 Asphalt
10L/28R 3,700 12,139 Asphalt
Statistics (2023)
Passengers 41,307,915
Aircraft operations 274,917
One for take off and one for landing will have to look on flightradar.
(Depending on how 2 M/ 1 L stands are counted ) GRU has around 20-35 more stands, and another runway. The L/X quantity and airline variety are also vastly different.
If anyone is curious, Guarulhos (GRU) is more for international traffic and national hub, whilst Congonhas (CGH) is more for domestic.
Runway looks similar to Manchester Airport layout,
I was hoping for HNL, well placed, but let’s try GRU
Finally a south American airport
GRU opened on January 20, 1985. Would be nice to see it come out on the 40th anniversary.
Seeing how fast we got BKK and MSY…who knows. Still, nice airport to add in the near future.
It won’t be that fast,There are still some errors waiting to be fixed.
Seeing as we just had a USA airport, I doubt we get another one so soon.
Wow interesting…!
People were talking about SCL for South America but now we have GRU!
Personally I’d say I prefer GIG (Rio) over GRU but let’s see how it goes.
Glad to finally have a South American airport to be able to unlock some of those South American contracts in the game
Feels like the F100 might come with it seeing it was type commonly used back in the day with airlines like TAM, TAME, TABA and Avianca
I mean, it’s more of a pacific one I’d say, but I agree.
You know, I actually thought that GIG would have been added. It has 2 runways and more destinations to the US and Europe.
