HKG - Hong Kong 🇭🇰

It’s already said that it’s a general airport, not a CNN. Can you read the development blog carefully! He can allow developers to place it in any location with the same layout, understand?

Yeah go for it that sounds like a good idea. At the end of the day, if BA has an A380 arriving at LHR, they’ll stick it in whatever capable gate is available and thus has been readied for it. If an aircraft is delayed in a gate say, they don’t just sit and wait. Same with trains, if need be, train goes onto another platform (Or if they’re GWR they delay it by an hour after holding it at a signal).

Edit: And you’re right, more MD-11 liveires will come in the future, expecting a ton at HKG’s arrival tbh.

This topic is temporarily closed for at least 4 hours due to a large number of community flags.

So, 4 users have just flagged the same post at a similar time, meaning this post has been automatically locked for about 4 hours. I’m going to keep a track on this thread as that’s something which hasn’t happened here before to my knowledge.

This topic was automatically opened after 4 hours.

Also, just like to add, as we know it’s coming, I’d suggest we talk about stuff to add to the airport in the pre release discussion rather then cluttering up the request

Why did a post get flagged?

Honestly not sure, got 2 different reasons of which said post was neither of them.

Bots fighting bots I suppose.

Weird. Sounds like someone was a tad upset over something.

For reaching a new level at the airport, we receive rewards. Recently, with the release of new airports, we’ve started getting more contracts with unique “Special Liveries.”

I would like to suggest liveries for HKG airport such as:

  • B77W / Cathay Pacific – Cathay Asia’s World City
Why this one? It belongs to the airline for which HKG is the home base.

  • B748F / Cathay Pacific Cargo – Cathay Hong Kong Trader
Similar to the first case. Cathay Cargo operates in the largest cargo airport in Asia. I think it’s a symbolic choice.

  • B77W / Qatar Airways – Retro or UEFA
Qatar Airways is a premium connecting bridge between Hong Kong and the Middle East. From there, flights continue to Europe, Africa, and South America. It’s also a member of OneWorld, like Cathay Pacific.

  • A332 / Air China – Zijin Hao
The national flag carrier, a prestigious airline. The busiest route between the mainland and Hong Kong is usually considered to be Beijing (PEK) – Hong Kong (HKG).

There will be home airlines liveries in Hong Kong anyway, it’s been the case at every airport so far. But guys, let’s concentrate on the real functions that exist in real airports. The developers are working hard and are also working on new aircraft and liveries. But let’s immerse ourselves in the real airport world and the real functions. Let’s support the developers in bringing more realism and variety to WOA. Of course, we’re all fixated on airports and new aircraft models and forget that a real airport has so many functions that we will most likely experience in WOA too. Let’s think about what special functions Hong Kong Airport has to offer and consider how these can be implemented in WOA. I’m currently dealing with this topic very intensively; you can certainly tell from my suggestions in the area of features. I’m currently watching a lot of videos and spotting videos of Hong Kong Airport; there are so many features there that we can put forward to the team as suggestions. Take a closer look and you’ll know what I mean :+1::wink:

We could try a new experience in rewards in the form of contracts with unique “special liveries.”
On average, each airport offers 18–20 rewards as contracts for AI planes from various international and local airlines, with standard and special liveries.
But we could also try introducing rewards in the form of “special liveries” from local airlines.

It could look something like this:

And so on. This way, by playing at this airport and progressing through each level, we would still receive AI contracts, but now with special liveries of local airlines. At the final level, we would have a complete fleet of the airport’s aircraft.

I’d also like some weirdos mixed in, AAL MD-11 for one, JAL 743, Qantas 743 and the such. Would make it more unique.

When the Hong Kong airport goes online, there will definitely be some new livery at the beginning

I really hope that we’ll get realistic aircraft sound effects at HK Airport.

I hope Hong Kong Airport will use the new system to create landings based on wind direction. I really hope this would be brilliant for Hong Kong Airport.

For HKG, most of the time it operates with using 07 to land/takeoff due to the average wind direction. The airport is acutally design that way as well with most connect at the end side of the runway (eastside). I do think that airports that have most facility in the middle will benefit the most with realistic wind direction.

That would be SOOOOO NICE but somewhere someone mentioned that the wind feature will only come for generic airports in the near future because of the complexibilty of the taxiway logig at bigger airports

…but i wont stop hoping
