Hello and good day to all! Welcome to the Realistic Routes and Gates guide for the HKG/VHHH Hong Kong Chek Lap Kok airport! This guide is for players who (like myself) prefer to play WoA as realistically as possible.

This is by-far the biggest guide I’ve done yet, so I apologize for any mistakes that have been made, as there probably are a few mistakes considering the amount of data that was entered here. Also, yes, I know this guide is pretty long and kind of annoying to scroll through, but it was necessary to include all of the information.

For cargo operations, it seems like every cargo aircraft parks at a random gate every time, so that doesn’t really matter.

(S) = Seasonal Route

(C) = Charter Route

BOLD = Livery/Aircraft/Airline/destination not currently in-game

There are two ways that aircraft from the same destination and airline are split:

An aircraft split with a (/) symbol means that those aircraft are used interchangeably on the same FLIGHT. (For example, for CX to PER, it says A359 / B77W, meaning sometimes they will use the A359 OR sometimes they will use the B77W, depending on the day)
An airline that has the same destination mentioned twice with different aircraft means that those routes use every aircraft on different flights to the same destination. (For example, CX flies the A21N to PEK, but they also fly the A333 to PEK, and the B77W to PEK, all daily on different flights)

It may be apparent to some of you that there are a lot of cargo routes missing from this guide. For the cargo routes, many aircraft will only fly a route for one or two days, not recurring, or with a different airline almost every day. I only included routes that are recurring and use the same airline every day.

I think two reasons:

A lot of Chinese are in Australia, and many aussie people with Chinese heritage.
Transferring passengers between Europe and Australia.

I have a question: how does Cathay Pacific (CX) operate in each of the terminals? It seems to have a presence in almost all terminals, but it doesn’t specify which flights it operates in each one. For example, in Terminal 1 Main East, does it operate flights to China? Asia Pacific? Domestic? International?.

Honestly, from what I’ve seen, it’s completely random. For example, looking at a CX flight from PVG, within one week it went to all 3 parts of the main terminal and remote stands, so yeah, I think CX just parks randomly amongst the main terminal. It does NOT park at any of the midfield gates, however.

They don’t have specific rules I think. I flew to HKG for times and until now they are completely random.

In the game however you can have them at Terminal 1 (probably with some oneworld members) but not Terminal 2 following a similar rule.

I did not include any multi-leg routes for PAX, for example, EK, ET, and UA from BKK, because they will not be possible in game. Just wanted to clear that up.

T2 initially I have read will be regional Chinese, Japanese, Korean carriers but that’s only for half the terminal. No mention of the other half of ot

The info I have as of now is that many non-oneworld carriers will be moved out from T1 (especially Hong Kong Airlines) when the T2 is complete.

Specifically, it’s not being removed from T1 cause the midfield concourse (most of Hong Kong Airlines and HK Express flights are departing from here) is considered a part of T1 tho physically it isn’t. Also I think Hong Kong Airlines flights rarely depart from the T1 main terminal even now rather than only after T2 opens?
