My least favourite large airport, only used it for SP. I don’t know about everyone else but i find the satellite terminal rows really boring which is why i feel atlanta would be bad. Hope this remodel will vastly improve it. Also does anybody remeber in 1.0 the stands were 1x 2l repeated like: X L L X L L X L L X also the only airport you could get the Norwegian 787 at, will never forgive them for removing that icon

There’s 16 events today with most being American B738s or united B744s, looks like it’s a lucky day to start IAD @Jamesonplanes

Very good 
At least we will get way more L gates if it’s like real life. X gates will be cut down a lot tho. Plus those gates are on both terminals which is pretty nice. Also the airport should be filled up way quicker due to 4 runways (which at least 2 should be landing runways)

I could see planes landing/arriving at 19R and 19C and departing from 19L, 19C and 30. Is that correct or i overlooked arriving planes at 19L or 30?
the airport looks so crisp compared to before
this entire update still feels like a dream even though I’ve pinched myself maybe 3 times already (and had my truck’s steering wheel shed on me, not a pleasant experience for a dream, so I guess that’s another sign)

I’m confused why some stands are angled the way they are, and it’s bothering me the more I look at it, does anyone know why they are like that?

It’s how they are in real life, though irl there are S and L stands in the south terminal, and half M stands in the north terminal. Wish they could’ve added them in, though i suppose it’ll come with stand sharing.

Does anyone know which stands use which runways for arrivals and departures?
Couldn’t see much last night for arrivals due to the fog at the airport.
Departures:
Cargo - 19C
S planes and Z gates - 19L
Concourse C/D and R gates - 30
Concourse A/B - 19L and 30

I tested the arrivals out with the tower fully active:
Cargo and Z gates - 19C
R gates - 19L
Concourse A/B/C/D - 19R and 19C
It’s interesting to note that the arrivals are dynamic.
To start off, I had L/X planes coming in at 19R when cargo was coming in at 19C.
When all X cargo were done, the X pax planes moved to 19C and M planes started to come in at 19R.
When all L pax and cargo were done, M planes started to come in at 19C as well.
Unlike BKK where everything is static and set in stone, the new IAD is making the most of the runways. They can’t use 19L the same way though since the only taxiway that goes from right to left is the one going to the R gates.
I have to test this out some other time manually, but I am loving this rework!

Things keep changing for L/X planes lol.
I started off with having departures of L planes from 19L. Then, a rogue A380 went to 30.
The next L plane to depart went to 19L, but A380s keep departing from 30. So I thought X planes depart from 30, L planes from 19L.
But then, the L planes followed suit. All departing from 30 and arrivals are only from 19C.
Soon after an L plane departed from 19L and then started to have arrivals back at 19R. Then all departures after are from 19L.
See what I meant by dynamic 
? I’ll keep you posted as I have a few 748s that just arrived. I’ll see if they go to 30 or 19L.
