I am wondering why there is a major discrepancy with the Z gates between irl and in the game? Irl, there are less gates and there are jet bridges. Within the game, thereās a stand where irl thatās where the post office is.
I donāt want to sound ungrateful, but I am curious as to why there is this discrepancy, even after the rework?

These stands are the ones you get when you first unlock IAD, so Iād imagine thatās part of the reason they havenāt changed that much. I can emailing the devs at support@flyboys.games as they could decide to look into it in the future.

I know these are the stands we all started with. I just figured with the rework, that this part of the airport would have been updated too.

Could also revolve around the mechanic that devs donāt have jetways connect to S aircraft, even through IRL (especially in the U.S.) itās prevalent. TBH the lack of shared stands (even though they were developed with MSY) and some minor details like this make me think IAD was somewhat rushed out to appease impatient fans.

Itās in game, albeit very limited. E170s, E175s and BAe 146s can use jetbridges, so the lack of jetbridges there at the least is a bit odd Iāll agree.

One thing that bugs me a lot about the new IAD rework is the fact, that its still so far off from real life. most stands still arent close to rl and you still cannot park L planes at C/D and M and S planes at A/B. The rework is cool and all, but the fact its still so far off is kinda sad. I hope they will correct this when it comes to the overlapping stands update

Exactly my thoughts. I feel like a whiny kid complaining after we got such a great updateā¦ but as someone who likes to play true to life, it erks me having to park United L planes at A/B or the remote stands and S/M international planes at D or remote stands. My hope is that it was rushed/finished to be before the holidays, and perhaps with only MSY having the shared stands as an experiment, so maybe further stand adjustments were always planned but just didnāt make the cut yet.

I agree. This is not to hate on the devs because their small team has been absolutely incredible with this last update and all the work they out into the game this year. With that being said, I was really hoping that the Z gates would have jet bridges like irl and changing the sizes of the stands at A+B and C+D to match irl.

Only just remembered this but Iām pretty sure Die Hard 2 was filmed at IAD, similar to how Avengers civil was has scenes from LEJ at it

It sure was! Well, based at least. Probably a lot or all of it was filmed back at good olā Hollywood. One of my favorite movies of all time

Just wanted to say a quick thank you for the improvements at IAD which made me buy 300 goldies for some more handling agents. Finally an airport with a lot of life at the stands and on run- and taxiways. More like this please.
