Why should this airline be added?
Founded in 1994 by Ed Beauvais, the former founder of America West Airlines, Western Pacific was a low-cost carrier based in Colorado Springs, Colorado, that operated scheduled passenger flights in the United States from April 1995 to February 1998.The airline operated mainly a fleet of Boeing 737s featuring a “Color in the Sky” liveries, incorporating bright red, yellow, and blue accents, with many aircraft serving as “logo jets” through the AirLogo Program to generate ancillary revenue via sponsorships from businesses, cities, and media partners.
By late 1997, Western Pacific Airlines faced mounting financial pressures, with the airlines response to these troubles was to initiate cost-cutting measures in October 1997, including significant route reductions. The airline’s operations ended abruptly on February 4, 1998, with its final flights completing that day, followed by an announcement during a bankruptcy hearing that it could no longer continue.
