Why should this airline be added?
The airline was founded in 1984 as Midwest Express Airlines, changing its name to Midwest Airlines in 2003, to make itself not look like a regional airline. In December 2006, Air Tran tried to purchase Midwest but was outbid by a group of investors including Northwest Airlines, who took over the airline in 2008. In June 2009, the airline was again purchased, this time by Republic Airways, who by 2012 had decided to merge the airline with Frontier, who they also owned. Frontier was then sold by Republic and became the ultra low-cost no frills airline it is today. The airline would be fantastic to add to the game, irl operating into both MSY and IAD regularly. It operated from Milwaukee and had focus cities in Kansas City and Omaha. It also had a fantastic livery looking both modern and 70s with the cheatline and they served baked on-board cookies. Plus, it is rumoured to be coming back with investors hoping to have got it to a point where relaunch was possible in 2020, but we know how that turned out.
