That’s my one box I never got to check is a turboprop, and now everyone (over here in the US) is all jet :frowning:

Thats true, but turboprops are still really popular in Canada. All of our popular regional airlines(ac express, westjet encore, porter etc.) fly them. So if you fly regional up here there is a good chance you will get one

Yeah but some Canadian ones are still turboprop

If I ever make it up that way haha. I think it’d be more likely for me to go to Japan and fly on ANA somewhere in the islands.

Porter flys all over the US. (Well not the west) but if want to go to Toronto, it could be a way to get on one.

But remember they also the the e195-e2 so a turboprop isn’t guaranteed

What’s everyone favourite model that have.
I currently have this.

Ignore the pens and pencils there (currently in refurbishment) it looks pretty good

Something doesn’t seem right with the green around the windows?

Unless my phone/camera has a virus or something like that I don’t see any issues other than it’s dusty (could do with a bit of dusting)

Small but a workhorse for AA that I’ve flown on a lot.

Damn you must have had the patience of a saint with those markings. I’m working on mine at the moment, and I’ve gone for a simplistic approach with them. Having the paint pens keep bursting or seeping everywhere is a nightmare. I’ve even avoided curved taxiway lines and just joined them as straight lines as I’ve got nothing to curve them with.

Thank you! The curves are often made much easier by just using a bowl or other round object like a curved ruler.

It’s a good job I’ve made my airport in a way it can easily be expanded with new pieces of wood then.

It’s something I might consider going over in the future, but just painting over old bits at some point does give it that patchy look over time, so I have a reason to revisit things.

I’ve decided to smudge pencil over the stands and I’ll probably do it over the taxiways as well, one reason why I haven’t bothered much with making the lines curved or making them 100% perfect, as the weathering should hide any imperfections. I run like that with making things perfectly line up and being equal distances apart, the fine balance between aesthetics and real life practicality. :joy:

They are reused photos, but for something as simple as smudging pencil it looks really good in my eyes.

It does look nice. Anywhere aircraft would go (eg turns) you can smudge, even if there is no taxiway, you can see it a lot on satellite imagery.

Yeah that’s what I’m planning on doing. Want to finish off my stands and airside markings first. Then I’ll be ordering some sand and working on the land side scenery and airside areas which don’t have anything in them. I’m just dreading the thought of spending £60 on buses and some new GSE at some point.
