Model Aircraft (Sharepoint)

They are the folks who have a store at Heathrow next to the Renaissance.

Indeed I have, I’ve got a pair of standard 757-200s (duplicates, I got a second one that I was going to replace my first one with a paint bubble on its wing with, but decided keep them both until another Thomas Cook 757 gets released, I know NG approved a 757-300 but with the way they are going it might be a good while until it’s released, if it ever is…), I’ve got a third 757-200 with the vote for a free day sticker on it and I’ve got a pair of A330s, a blue and grey one.

My second TUI 767 was a deal to good to pass on, came to a little under £23 in total.

Back during covid, I’d racked up some cash working long stints and many overtime shifts in my job straight out of school and came upon this hobby. Needless to say I was bored, work wasn’t very bust during covid so no extra shifts and couldn’t go anywhere so I started ebaying and this is the result.

There are a lot more behind the front ones, you can see I’ve stacked them shelf to shelf.

Wasn’t the only purchases, got a fair few Hornby bits and Airfix models but its definitely my biggest batch . Just wish I had the space to display them properly.

I can see the shelf sagging a bit from all the model planes!

Saw these in my feed. Not sure how often they’re offered by the various manufacturers.
These specifically are InFlight200s, so sorry all yall 1:400 diehards

Considering it was me who made the suggestion for it, I think it would be rude not to get one. Definitely going to get both though, hopefully those rumoured Jet2 757s and the Thomas Cook one won’t be too far out now. :crossed_fingers:

Might have to get myself the TCX one when it eventually appears. Would make a solid 1/400.

Hopefully this is a sign NG is slowly changing, one can all but hope.

The first of the 2 BEA’s looks very tempting. I do love a good BAC, darned EU noise regulations though cut their service short.

I loved NG when they first turned up but they seem a bit big for their boots, going down the same track Gemini has worn well.

Looks like I’ve started my next airport at the right time, looking forward to these. Definitely going to preorder them as soon as they are available.

I’ve recently started making my smaller model airport, based in the UK to display some of the models that wouldn’t fit on my main airport.

This is the first test of how it would look once finished, some touch ups needed with the paint and some other things like ground markings and grass are needed, but so far I think it’s coming along nicely. Fortunately my Loganair ATRs have arrived this weekend, so I’m quite looking forward to getting them out onto this airport once it’s finished! I’m just debating if the stand where the TCX 757 is should have a jetbridge or not.

The sun really made these look good.

Managed to make some more progress these past few days, mostly finished now and just awaiting some final pieces for the scenery to arrive. The airport is finally at a point I can display models on it properly now though, and I’ve managed to finally get a few models out that I’ve not used much up to now.
