The airport covers an area of over 3.70 km2 (1.43 sq mi) partially reclaimed from the sea, with 2.70 km2 (1.04 sq mi) used by its two parallel runways and the three passenger terminals and freight terminal.
Nice Côte d’Azur Airport (LFMN) has two runways. Runway 04L/22R is 2,570 meters (8,432 feet) long, and runway 04R/22L is 2,960 meters (9,711 feet) long.

Terminal 1 features 25 gates on a space of 52,000 m2 (560,000 sq ft). It features flights to domestic, Schengen and non-Schengen destinations and has a capacity of 4.5 million passengers per year. A business center is located at Terminal 1 containing eight rooms and a conference room with a capacity of 250 people.

Terminal 2 is the newer and larger facility and is equipped to handle flights to all destinations. There are 29 gates on a space of 57,800 m2 (622,000 sq ft). The terminal has a capacity of 8.5 million passengers per year.

The Business Aviation Terminal, located next to Terminal 2, covers an area of 1,500 m2 (16,000 sq ft). Opened in 2010, this terminal contains the operations rooms, VIP lounges, crew lounges and offices of several business aviation companies.

Nice Côte d’Azur Airport’s geographical location on the French Riviera makes it unique. It’s situated on a coastal area reclaimed from the sea, offering spectacular views during landings. The airport’s proximity to the Mediterranean Sea, the mountains, and the Var plain leads to frequent wind shear, which is addressed with advanced wind shear detection technology. Additionally, the airport’s design and facilities, including its two terminals, make it an efficient hub for both international and domestic flights.

Very beautiful airport with unique terminal designs, my favourite airport to fly to and from in MSFS

The game is not about helicopters but having at least an evocation of the helicopter commercial shuttle services from Monaco Heliport would be awesome!

NCE has a major drawback for an airport option. Like at a lot of similar airports departing aircraft use the longest runway, which is the outer one. Due to space constraint outbound taxiing aircraft have to hold for landing airplanes before they can reach their holding point. In game that translates to a lot of queues and waiting.

I would totally love to have HeliAir Monaco in there.

This would be a great airport as it allows for a large variety of airlines but also allows changing wind direction easily. It would also be a good airport to test out a few things.

  1. The testing of business jets for the future as the devs would like to add these and since NCE is basically full of them, even up to larger jets like private 747s, it would be great as a testing ground

  2. The testing of new and different approach styles. I know at places like Innsbruck and Zurich the planes turn to either direction after departure. Since NCE has a unique approach from both angles, it could be interesting for the devs to experiment on turns during approach like how aircraft turn after departure currently in game.

  3. Helicopters. Idk if the devs want to add them but NCE has a large helicopter terminal so experimenting with them could be cool

Couple of cool options in France and considering CDG is likely to be well too big for the near future, as much as I’d love to see it, this would make for a good option, though ofc its close to the big splodge of Central European airports. I think this and Bordeaux could make for 2 good French medium hubs, both having 2 runways, a sizeable terminal section and other unique features. Plus would be good for small A/B Class routes. Lyon could also be an alternative for this one too.

Yeah, he’s got my vote and I’ve linked him above too along with my Bordeaux suggestion lol. I think France has quite a few good alternatives to CDG as much as I’d love to see it in-game, it’s just too big. All 3 of those airports have a sizeable Air France presence.
