New Game Features

Is it possible to know how many miles your own ac have flown? I would live to see that added on the same page as the contract total earnings (as some of them approach the 2 million wollars earned A124 & A225 at LEJ).

Are higher camera views possible? Specifically on LHR, all the views are so low that you can’t see all the stands, and the 2D view can’t even show both runways at the same time. It would be really nice if the Tower views had an increased elevation, and the 2D view was zoomed out more.

When I play LHR, I prefer the Tower 3 view, and I have about 30 stands that I haven’t bothered to buy because I can’t see them and I know I won’t use them.

We need more routes in the us they have a lot but i mean random airports like ashville in north carrolina. It would make everybodys airports more realistic.

The towers are already increased in elevation.
I would suggest an additional camera for your request but they’re already incorrect in a way

Currently, the camera view for L planes while landing is too high. This makes it incredibly harder to land and looks so much worse. I propose that we should be able to set our camera view for the landing minigame or it be preset to something better like a gear view.

I would suggest camera views we could create for GP

We need limits on connection handling to avoid digging through to see who stole your planes. Handle within 24 hours or else it flies back. You don’t get the cash and get a red dot. Too many red dots at the end and you don’t get the silver. When the owner goes to extend, he can check the green/red dots and make a decision. Time out the unaccepted requests too.

Use for own planes if the devs won’t just allow transfers: Make a self connection. It gets offered to your receiving airport as a contract from the giving airport. Then you handle it at the receiving airport like normal. At the giving airport, it’s a ghost and you don’t do anything unless you cancel it and it comes back.

Will LHR be updated with triple jet bridges now that it’s been implemented in SYD?

S planes and jetbridges

With the introduction of syd and having jetbridges on s only gates, I think it’s time to look at this and rework it, because busses loading right nezt to a jetway is not realistic

Firstly, we can glaze over the B463 and e170/175 since they already connect to the jetbridges

Secondly, the dash 8 and the crj

Both models typically connect to the jetway, but via a bridge from the jetway door to their door, and this would allow for them to at least be using the jetway instead of a bus. As for cleaning crew, they would enter through the jetway and not pull a van up, like the Concorde usually does (then the crew phases through the bottom of the jetway, this was pre 2.0 however, now Concorde doesn’t even have a cleaning van on remote stands, it’s odd)

Adding on to this one, though not the exact same is the Saab 340, which is actually able to connect to jetways properly!

Thirdly, every other plane (twin otter and atr)
Although the atr did have some airlines use jetway compatible doors:

Not all did, and the twin otter is way too small to even attempt that, so I suggest that the passengers simply have a staircase down from the jetway’s door, to the ground, then board the plane from there, it would make it so, again, the bus wouldn’t be used. (this method could also be used with the comet’s rear boarding door) (I can’t find a picture of this but I don’t see why it couldn’t be possible :person_shrugging:)

Now, the only issue with these ideas, every airport that still uses v1 jetways would need to have an update jetway setup for proper use, and i imagine the devs already plan to replace these aging jetway models anyway (I hope, at least)

In case this post’s existence didn’t say enough, I loathe the current s jetway method (except the ones that actually use it), so this is a huge want for me

Hello dear developers, I have a question. Could a man at the airport in London not use the runway as a runway when no planes are taking off? Otherwise it’s not worth buying several terminals or ground staff actually use it. which serves as a take-off and landing runway so that it doesn’t build up in the air

CRJs are able to connect to the jetways regularly (I know because I fly them often with American between SHV and DFW and others). As for the DH8Ds not sure. Also, when the jetway is out of use or unable to connect, usually there’s stairs internal in the terminal gate, then passengers just come out onto the tarmac and are guided to stairs.

You Americans will board anything using a jetbridge. Are remote stands and bus boarding a strange concept in the US?

To most, yes. Even low cost carriers basically always board using jetbridges. I’ve boarded ERJs at MVY via stairs, as there are no jetbridges there. But it’s a rare occcurance as even very small airports use them.

Over here you’re lucky if your A330 gets parked anywhere near the terminal. :no_mouth:

God easyjet and ryanair a scared of jet bridges :joy:

Go to Gatwick for Easyjet, almost guaranteed to be on a jet bridge other than around 10 stands I think.

Ever try and board an aircraft in -20°F(-23°C)? How about in a torrential downpour, now that’s like sitting in a room full of wet dogs.
