:bullseye: What is your suggestion?
Currently Innsbruck has 2 local airlines, Austrian and Ryanair. The latter has never had a base there and in fact has never flown there so it seems daft to me that they’re the second local airline. I believe they should be replaced, either for ease of devs with Eurowings (Who do select charter flights out of the airport (Turns out Eurowings is a local but to very select destinations, not the irl ones but the likes of CDG, FCO and German cities)) or with easyJet (Who do a lot of flights out of the airport and whom are more comparable to Ryanair).

If the devs are up for a completely new airline, I’d suggest Niki or Lauda Air as both were based there to compete with Austrian during the 2000s and early 2010s (At least Niki was, Lauda was part of Austrian but only absorbed in 2012, retaining its own identity).

:hammer_and_wrench: How would it work in the game?
Switching out Ryanair and replacing it with either Eurowings/easyJet or a new airline more suited to the airport like Niki or Lauda.

:balance_scale: Why is this a good idea?
It would make the games first airport and the one that draws new players in, more unique because those said players have Ryanair at their next 2 airports and at them it actually makes sense with them both being local. So for realism and to increase the amount of liveries available to new players, something I think is paramount to getting them hooked as your new audience is likely to already be an aviation fan.

It would also get players interested in exploring older, long gone airlines prior to their time but that might be just me .

Niki Lauda flying a Niki A320 at full pelt over the Innsbruck airfield,

Lauda’s A320 landing at Innsbruck in 2011,

If we’re going back to Niki and Lauda, I feel like we’re missing out on the most obvious local airline… Tyrolean. Otherwise, I wholly support this.

I agree, personally would love them to switch out Ryanair with eurowings, as they’re currently actively operating

But they already have Tyrolean with the DH8A so seeing more variants would be nice but having an active local airline makes more sense

Tyrolean would be a great addition with their dash 8’s and their Fokker 70 and CRJ 200’s. My other thought was Avanti as they did Fokker 100 charter flights from INN in the late 2010s and early 2020s. Honestly anything to diversify the airports locals as I think it could make it more interesting for newer players. Hook them in.

Avanti is also slated to be the airline partner with Rhomberg for tours to CLY this year on their DH8Ds, so would be more than a historic airline which would be a plus.
