The airline is using 2 ex-Spirit A21NX’s, that’ll be why it showed up as that. Not yet re-registered to the new airline.
Last flying DC8 in the world is likely a write off after leaving the runway at Kinshasa on landing. Nose gear has collapsed and even though damage looks limited, it’s a 55 year old aircraft having first been delivered to World Airways in 1971. 9S-AJO.
DAMN that’s a downgrade
Heathrow and Gatwick are apparently (among other airports in the UK and Ireland) dealing with some technical ATC issues, LHR has become a bit of a parking lot, with some flights diverting to Birmingham (e.g. EK A388) or Manchester (e.g. VS B789).
I watched the video and like my dudes waited so long to land and like where were the flaps!?!?!?
I just saw this on Instagram and a SIN Airlines A380 is diverting someplace else.
Manchester just got themselves a BA A380 from LAX as well as a MAS A359 just landed.
Did find it amusing that some poor beggars on a BA 789 to Shanghai have turned around and now have had to divert to Cardiff. Plus an AAL 77W has decided to divert to JFK from MIA having not even left the ground at Heathrow. Not sure why that would be except fuel, surprised they wouldn’t go back to the gate.
I find these diversion paths that airlines do are so weird!! but to be fair it could be because of the region they are in depending on if that airline is allowed to land in that airport.
SWISS plans to donate its final Airbus A340-300, HB-JMH, built in 2004, to the Swiss Museum of Transport in Lucerne following its retirement, targeted for early 2028.
Just days ago, on September 5, 2026, the airline retired a highly recognizable veteran of the skies: an Airbus A330-200 registered as VH-EBC affectionately named “Surfers Paradise”
I really wished they handed off their retired A330s to Jetstar!! Somehow the light grey with the orange star on it looks super appealling.
Looks like they’re going back to a stand now, so they might refuel and eventually fly to MIA after all.
A Loganair AT76 has just taken off, so hopefully things will start moving now, feeling really sorry for all the people stuck on board planes for nearly 4 hours now (+ God knows how long it will take to actually move all of those planes).
Seems they’ve allowed 4 out, 3 UK ones and a BA to Dublin. The MUC has been sent back to the gate though.
Actually scratch that, the Air India was just allowed out, only 6 hours late haha.
LATAM Airlines Peru will launch nonstop flights between Cusco and Sao Paulo on March 29, 2027, marking the first direct air link between the Peruvian city and Brazil. The route will operate 4X-weekly. LATAM says Brazil accounted for 7% of international arrivals to Cusco in 2025, making it the airport’s third-largest inbound market. The airline will also increase Cusco-Santiago frequencies from 7X-weekly to 10X-weekly.
This link shows figi airlines lol
EDIT - it shows more than that…
EgyptAir plans to return to Sydney in 2027 with a one-stop service from Cairo via Singapore, joining a growing group of airlines using Asian intermediate points to expand in Australia ahead of Qantas’ Project Sunrise launch.
The proposed route would restore EgyptAir’s presence in Australia 25 years after it suspended 2X-weekly Cairo-Singapore-Sydney flights in July 2002. A subsequent plan to reroute the service through Kuala Lumpur did not materialize.
Schedules, frequencies and a launch date have yet to be announced. However, EgyptAir is understood to be planning to operate the route using Airbus A350-900 aircraft. CAPA Fleet Database shows the airline has four A350s in service after receiving its first in February 2026, with another 12 on order.
The one-stop service would create the only same-plane connection between North Africa and Australia and provide Sydney Airport with a record 54 airlines. It would also restore a nonstop link between Cairo and Singapore, opening a new connection to Southeast Asia.
Sydney Kingsford Smith (SYD) is set to welcome its newest China-based carrier, with Shenzhen Airlines to launch its inaugural four-times-weekly service between Shenzhen and Sydney on 14 December 2026.
The new service will operate four times per week using an Airbus A333, adding approximately 130,000 seats annually and supporting an estimated 100,000 passengers each year.
The arrival of Shenzhen Airlines will take the number of carriers operating at Sydney Airport to a record 55, underscoring Sydney Airport’s role as Australia’s largest airport and the nation’s leading international gateway.
Shocking Videos has emerged today of a Ryanair 737Max 8 (EI-ILA) of a winglet strike at Dublin today. Thanks to the pilots quick reactions a go around was initiated and turned around to do a 2nd landing
Ps: The fact i live just 20 minutes away from DUB if this thing crash i would definitely see smoke from my house and if it blows north then a shelter in place would happen. Seeing smoke riseing from Dublin airport from my house is absolutely terrifying
