The B77X is back up and flying for certification! Here’s to hoping there are no more speed bumps for the program and that we can see them in service in the next year or two!

Prague Airport named after Vaclav Havel served exactly 16,353,522 passengers in 2024 - the airport of the Czech capital announced in an official statement. This is a double-digit increase.

The Airbus A350 boasts the highest ETOPS certification of any commercial aircraft, allowing it to fly up to 370 minutes (over six hours) from the nearest suitable airport. This capability enables the A350 to cover 99.7% of the Earth’s surface, offering unprecedented route flexibility for airlines.

ETOPS ratings have evolved with advancements in aircraft reliability. The Boeing 777 set a milestone in 1995 with an ETOPS-180 rating, extended to ETOPS-330 in 2011. In 2014, the A350 became the first to achieve ETOPS-370. These developments have enabled more efficient, direct routes over remote regions, reducing fuel consumption and travel time for long-haul operations.

Eurowings just conffirmed that they will have in fleet B737 max. This is not very profitable. They have in fleet only Airbus. Low-cost usualy have one aircraft manufacture in their fleets, so flights are cheaper, because teaching pilots are cheaper and find pilot for replacement. So flights of eurowings will be more expensive.

Edinburgh and Glasgow are currently the most disrupted airports in the world right now due to the storm. At EDI every flight has been cancelled except from easyJet who have delayed all flights until 7-8 pm

Yeah it wasn’t bad at all here, just a few fallen trees in the early hours of the day, just been like most days in England, dull.

Talk about the storm cause 38% of the flights at DUB to be cancelled, it was right in the eye of the storm which actually cause damage to my house and the roads.

So bad, they couldn’t even divert to the same country of origin… or… they were sneaky with their flight plan and wanted a little holiday for some pretzels and beer… :smirk:

Boeing B777-300ER belonging to SkyLine Express has recently returned to flying with passengers. On January 23-24, the aircraft performed the Warsaw - La Romana - Katowice rotation from Poland for the Turkish travel agency Anex Tour, replacing the B777 of MoviGok Airlines. These were the first flights with passengers after the aircraft had been idled for over 2 years in Kiev and Tarbes, France. The B777 can take as many as 531 passengers on board!. Maybe We see it in the game?

Just the facts folks:
Unfortunately, we have our first major plane incident of the year, as Carlsberg alluded to, breaking what seemed to be a peaceful break from December’s swath of crashes. Thoughts go to anyone and everyone involved :broken_heart:

Quick Points:

  • American Eagle (PSA) CRJ7
    60 x pax / 4 x crew
  • U.S. Army UH-60
    3 crew
  • On an approach of DCA - Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (closed at this time)
