Real World Aviation news

Well would you look at that!

My local airport has finally got planning permission to build the new platform that is designed not only for community’s but also most importantly Planespotters, currently the planespotting location is on a hill which is not the best tho.

Still waiting on you Gatwick…

Thanks, it’s a significant update to my local airport compared to the parking and behind the parking is a hill which local community, YouTubers and avation photographers climb up, not the best tho, I haven’t been here for a while since February 2023

Seems like a treck
My dad went there when he flew to DUB when he was on short haul
He got a few pics but i dont have them
Ill maybe try and get him to send them to me
For spotting at Gatwick i use my back garden my friends skip yard and some fields near 26L

I feel every major airport should have a spotting area.
Like my favourite airport. DFWs Founders Plaza.

Such a shame. Another airplane crash this time not as many people that were In danger but it still killed more than the Jal a350 accident earlier this year.
This was a cropduster crash in South Dakota.
RIP to anyone who passed away in this incident.

Jee that’s sad :frowning:
s :slightly_frowning_face:

A small nether flight had to return to Vegas On the 15th after a hydraulic failure.
No one was hurt they landed sadly the aircraft is back flying

Sad news, Czech airlines will end their operations as their own company and transfer their operations to smartwings as of October this year. RIP one of the first airlines in the game

Not surprising since they have been struggling for sometime and even almost shutdown in 2021

Yeah, all I was seeing was cancelled or pre-existing routes when looking them up. So no surprise there. But devs should consider changing the initial PRG contracts and rewards to Smartwings and other actual contracts.

Not to mention it’s the 5th oldest airline.

Big news earlier today. Scary to think about how many things this tiny glitch affected. It even inhibited emergency numbers and response in many areas worldwide.

Good news on the a321xlr! Airbus announced that the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has certified the A321XLR, and entrance into service is expected to begin soon! First flight is with Iberia on november 14th of this year. Hopefully, the 737max 10 gets certified soon too…

I’m more excited about the 777-9 but I know that’s probably a bit further off than the MAX 10 (unless the MAX series keeps having issues I suppose).

Was it only the -9 that started FAA testing? I thought it was all variants.

Yeah I should have said 777-X, but I keep seeing all the different titles in the news, and I’m thinking the -9 is probably the most popular option perhaps?

It is, but they’ll probably certify them together if it’s not like the max.
