American Airlines will mark its 100th anniversary in 2026 with a centennial 737 livery debuting this month. Inspired by its 1926 origins, the design features silver infinity rings in three grey tones, a mica finish, and decals applied across 1,500 aircraft.

I wonder who makes those giant signs, and what do they do with them after?

Very interesting question.

I think they are property of Airbus so Airbus made it.

Each letter/number should be individual I think and they just cover the front with the color scheme of the client (like print and glue on the front).

After the event they can dispose the printed cover but move the barebone into the warehouse.

That’s only my guess, though.

The Andor meme might change my mind, I’m not a fan of it personally but it’s better than a lot of the modern ones.

Actually looks pretty good at night, as they say though… old is gold…

I don’t care what they are calling this gorgeous livery, I shall henceforth refer to it as - the hummingbird.
(Coincidentally befitting the HA registration.)

Alaska Airlines announced today it is ordering 105 new 737-10 aircraft and five new 787 aircraft – exercising all previous 787 options held with Boeing. The airline also secured rights for an additional 35 737-10 aircraft. This order – representing the largest order in the airline’s history – secures critical delivery slots and extends the aircraft delivery stream through 2035.

Is it though? Can’t find it.

Also Air Canada due theirs soon.

It is, you can find it at quite a few destinations actually. For example I have one of them on PRG-LTN, but they should be at BUD, OTP, MXP and more from quite a few playables
