Some NEWS from TRS/LIPQ - Trieste Airport:
At the end of March ITA Airways will stop the route TRS-LIN 
(now they’ve to find some other company to operate it).
For this Sumer Ryanair have announced a new route TRS-TIA (Now operated from Wizz Air), it will also restart all the route that was stopped during winter so more plane

Don’t know if this has previously been mentioned but whilst I’ve been back looking for Leipzig terminal stand evidence I came across this from 2019,
And again from 2025,
It was due to take its first flight late last year but hasn’t as of yet. It’s called the Dornier 328 eco.

This is sad! An air Canada crj crashed into a port authority fire truck shortly after landing unfortunately the pilot and co pilot didn’t make it…
I will update as i learn more about this. may the pilots rest in peace.

this is insane! as of now all we know is The plane, carrying 72 passengers and four crew, initially landed safely from Montreal on Sunday evening and 41 passengers and crew were taken to hospital - all but nine have since been discharged. Two fire truck officers are in a stable condition in hospital. all flights out of LGA have been cancelled till 2PM… may the pilots rest in peace and to all that where involved in the accident to recover.

Think this one’s on ATC, they’re overworked in the US. No mention of the Jazz till the collision in the stuff, obviously cleared to land, but passed that nothing. Rip to the 2 pilots that died.

They’re one of the only ones I trust for accurate news. As a public broadcasting system they have to report the truth and yes they may be influenced by political sway as it’s the ruling party that commands their pay, but I think it’s important to have that available when a lot of the other news sources are steadily moving in their separate bias directions appealing to an American audience like the Daily Mail and the Guardian, both appealing to right and left leaning Americans respectively. Reuters is my only other go to for trustworthy news. I’ll use Sky News (UK one cause Oz’s one is a Murdoch company 
) from time to time as their reporting on the Ukraine war has been excellent but I try to verify it with Reuters. America’s option for the BBC is CBS who the BBC work with, though I think trust has sadly been eroded in them more recently (Likely still more trustworthy than Fox or CNN). Only other foreign news channels I will trust to a point are France 24 and ABC (Australia). Vast majority of the rest are attempting to push an agenda onto you.
Scary times we live in when news can’t be trusted.
Anyway, back to the planes, seems LGA is due to reopen 18:00 UTC.

In the US I stick to Local news which generally covers the major National news, in the UK I only really use sky. Do think the BBC sway very much towards the party currently in parliament. Do watch CNN and Fox sometimes just to see both sides and make my own judgements, even if they do spin the story a bit.

The LGA crash is really horrifying. The US badly needs an ATC overhaul, cause there have been an unbelievable amount of near misses and ATC failures leading to crashes in recent years. I hope that this is the push needed to get that into the public awareness, but I doubt it unfortunately.

Don’t think it’s fully the controllers themselves but more them being overworked. Though the North east of the US and Toronto are notoriously bad for ATC.

yeah well i dont blame them for delta 4819 they arent the greatest but its the busiest airport in canada but i agree with you.
It’s just they have big ego’s and think they’re the best, mainly NYC

I think awareness in the aviation community (and in the last few months also broader public) is pretty high, but difficult to do something when there’s a shortage in the budget for ATC since a while now. Some people just don’t understand where they should and where they shouldn’t be saving money…
