This skycrane flew over my head 3 weeks ago while I was at the seaside near Catania, Italy. A Canadair from Sigonella military base (Nsy) arrived then, buy I didn’t take photos. Probably there was some fire on mount Etna.

Edit: I found the Canadair photos, but sadly they are not clear

Haha, couldn’t resist. I love those Canadairs, been watching them chugging along tiredlessly for weeks around Lago Maggiore, Lago di Como and around the south.

Yeah. Sadly in Italy there are a lot of forest fires, like the one that @Aron_fvg told about. I think that 19 Canadair and some helicopters aren’t enough for a country like Italy.
