Real world Aviation (sharepoint)

A great day out at the Bray Air Show watching a great line up with aircraft flying over departing from mainly Dublin Western Airport (QFW) and Baldonald Airbase but also from Dublin Airport (DUB) and Shannon Airport (SNN).
Although it started much later at 15:00 there was Helicopter rides (EI-PRO) and later on a fire was reported and send out a water Helicopter (EI-XHA) With the show starting with the Air Corps parachuting down from a helicopter

Some of the highlights that i took was the Aer Lingus A321NEO XLR (EI-XLU) flying in a formation as well as EI-ABI there 1st ever aircraft and the Emerald Airlines ATR72 (EI-GPN), Irish Coast Guard Leonardo AW 189 (EI-IRG as well as the Beachcraft King Air (EI-IRF), Pliatus PC12 (EJ-VAIS) and the National Flight Center Technam P2006T (EI-WST)

An Amazing display by G-SOAF, The largest display team in the world (Team Raven) also made an apperance here and made the highlight as well as the wingwalkers, the Irish Police Helicopter the Irish Air Corps Airbus 295 and there Silver Swallows at the end to wrap up the show (and these are the same team that escorted the A321NEO XLR)

Overall round of applause to the organisers, Dublin Western Airport, Irish Army, Irish Coast Guard, Aer Lingus, Executive Helicopters, The Police and everyone involved to deliver an impressive event!:saluting_face: 1/8/2026

I know its a lot but its seriously a great show for a mixed avation audience and it was so popular that it even went on mainstream news.

are you even on the plane when you recieved the fruity platter?? Looks so unreal haha.

Your flight in American airlines is what I expect to see on them.

FYI - I am travelling back to the USA tomorrow from Australia so I will do the exact same thing as you all have done to just show what economy feels like on this forum lol.

Planes I will be flyign on are the
Qantas Airbus A321XLR / MEL → SYD / 1hr 15min flight
Qantas Boeing B787-800 Deamliner / SYD → DFW / 15hr 45min flight
American airlines Airbus A320 / DFW → MKE / 2hr 15min Flight

Rarghhhhhhh so many pictures but they are good ngl

Trust me this just a fraction of what i actually took (and these are the best parts of the show) i took roughly 300 pictures and about 1 hour of footage. And i know its a lot for the fourm but its nothing compared to the 300 pictures and over an hour of video footage.

But seriously maybe i sould segregate each images into each category as there is a load but i spend like 1 hour yesterday picking the best images and put them here.

XLR! Epic

safe travels

I think you meant Qantas 787-9, since I don’t think they have the -8. anyway that route alternates between the a380 and 787-9 so you just barely missed a ride on the superjumbo! Anyway, enjoy your trip.

PLEASE! Just say 787-8 :sob::winking_face_with_tongue:

Not nitpicking or trying to bully in anyway what so ever I just want to say, grammer matters!

When i was typing in the type I knew it was weird to see an 8. But your right i forgot it was the B789

But to be fair i am happy i am on the B789 because i have already ridden on the super jumbo on that route going to dallas and yeah aint too fuss2d riding on a dreamliner.

@StJohnsplanespotter I wasnt really too sure how i was going to put the numbers lol.

I was tired and trying to get to bed because the later i stayed up the more amount of sleep i would loose.

Well, just arrived home after my flight in 15A on the BA226. And man is it dry here.

Starter of Beef

Main of Fried plantain, Chicken breast and Rice

Pudding of Raspberry lava cake with custard

(This one really highlights how dry the grass is)
