Thank you for explaining me this case.
Planes don’t usually divert lightly, so probably. Also, if you are able to see the squawk code, 7600 or 7700 would be a good indicator.
Oh yeah I almost forgot about that Air Transat, Smartwings livery combo probably another combo between Air Transat and ASL France with the 737-700
Sunwing with tui as well
Yea I do agree I even saw a few Sunwing aircraft in Dalaman in turkey working with TUI while I was there
Me: I want TUI boeing 737-800!
Mom: We already have it at home
TUI boeing737-800 at home:
I mean the first time I saw a Sunwing aircraft was in Dublin in 2017ish and I did saw it again at Dalaman a few times and I was like what on earth an aircraft registered in Canada is doing in Europe
I was born in toronto and we moved to London Ontario(a city 2 hours away) and Tui/Sunwing 737’s are really common during the winter at both airports with Toronto being a sunwing hub, and sunwing being londons biggest airline.
I do love the codesharing between the two airlines, wondering if these partnerships will continue after Sunwing is merged into Westjet.
Actually they are merging into WestJet not Alaska and I believe Sunwing will shut down later this year. Also TUI also has a code share with Freebird Airlines mainly to Antalya but sometimes Dalaman as well
TUI has codesharing between many companies. They have also begun leasing from Avion Express and Titan. Due to be flying on a TUI 320 next year, hopefully an IAE V2500 noise will come with it.
Oh yea the IAE noise that is my favourite engine sound apart from the General Electric CF6-80c2 and the Pratt and Whitney 4000. Fan of IAE!
For me it’s the thrust reduction after takeoff, gotta be the most underated engine sound. Attached is a perfect example.
Oh god that is actually one of the most irritating engines sounds I have ever heard on takeoff and/or after takeoff. Which the most irritating engines sounds I heard is eather the Gulfstream G3 or the TU-134
Nope, apparently this year is the last time the aircraft transfers are happening (time will tell of course)
Whilst it’s great for AV geeks, from experience the reliability and on time performance of sunwing aircraft when operating for TUI UK is appalling. I think most punters will be glad to see the back of the agreement.
I don’t know how efficient it is on the other side of the pond when TUI a/c go to Canada for the UK winter however.
