I also own a few pieces of BA memorabilia,
Including a pecie of a BA 747 (i flew on that one irl aswell so thats cool)
It was given to members of staff at the airline in 2019 when ba turned 100 years old. If you want to buy they are around 85$ on ebay the last time i checked
Then i have a 777 postcard (kinda like the delta trading cards)
Then a first class menu and a club world (business class) amenity kit
Also the pilot hat was the old uniform

Or at least something like that
Aircraft is landing from the west today so I should be able to catch some pictures of aircraft flying over me, also I’m heading to DUB today for a very special reason so I should be getting some great pictures from aircraft close up

You’re going to Dublin to directly complain at Aer Lingus?

I wish but that’s not what I am going to do. I am quickly approaching the legal age of 16 to work therefore as me approaching Senior Cycle Its required by my school to do work experience for the next 3 years, this would be useful to active my goals to work at DUB as a ground crew. (Also I’ll be at T1 so they won’t catch me)

Welcome to Londons primary airport
Oh wait I mean former primary airport
This is the last of Croydon airport
A plane outside a hotel near the Costco
This historic airport was demolished in the 70s I believe now it is just an industrial area in Croydon
Sorry for not the best pictures
I was driving when I took them so not the best
Also if you can tell the plane please let me know

A de Havilland Heron (a small propeller-driven British airliner of the 1950s) is displayed on the forecourt outside Airport House, mounted on struts. The Heron is painted to represent an example registered G-AOXL of Morton Air Services, the aircraft that flew the last passenger flight from Croydon on 30 September 1959.

Alright guys I am back from DUB, went well planespotting but I have been down quite a rabbit hole with the work experience part which unfortunately I can’t tell you because its something that’s private for me.
But anyway here is part 1 of this planespotting day, part 2 is still in works (25/5/2024)

Honestly dublin would be a brilliant airport in game as American Etihad delta and west jet fly there (and other)
But then for local you can have ryanair and aer Lingus atr’s
Then ba and aer Lingus 321s and 320s and Turkish and that for regional

DUB is a nice airport, plenty of activity there and a nice mix of traffic.

I’ve passed through a few times. Always efficient. I find it laughable that Ryanair have somehow ended up with the most modern part of it.

If you get the chance to head to DUB you should go to the church at the bus stop outside of T1
