Ok will do
That is when I go
Same here in England
You get behind Muppets who slow down when you could get a bus through or just stop at a green light
And when I go to Costco they can’t get there VW golf into a American sized spot (which are massive compared to cars in the UK)
I agree, when I travelled into the city from the airport last January we used the 41 bus and it was horrid. The coaches want you to book your time in advance which, when flying, you can’t really do. Why the LUAS doesn’t reach the airport is something Dublin should really ask themselves…
Live plane spotting from London Heathrow (kinda)
Heres 2 photos I’ve taken
The Cathay Pacific a350-900 to Hong Kong
And the Vistara 787-9 to Mumbai
( Happy to see them before the merger)
I’m annoyed I didn’t get the Lufthansa a320neo to Frankfurt in the old livery but I couldn’t get it on camera
Sorry
Here is Part 2 of plane spotting today at home and that went less well only 3 aircraft over my house today unfortunately but overall great day to see aircraft for me
Oh and 2 more things there is a US pre clearance, or US passport control so when you land just grab bags and leave and although Ireland isn’t part of the Schengen area or passport control when arriving, it is way easier to leave as after security flight to everywhere except US don’t need to go Immigration for an exit stamp which is stress free. ![]()
I’d recommend travelling to Lanzarote, they don’t stamp passports. Not sure why as all the infrastructure is there. ![]()
I wish but I have a Holiday booked which is happening in less than a month, most of the time when I leaving a country that is part of Schengen to a country that’s not Schengen they just (most of the time) look at my passport and let me through without a stamp ![]()
Oh sorry forgot to keep you updated
Heres just a few aircraft
And thenthere was a few private jets I got to see coming back from the Monaco gran pre
That’s the same as most Irish airports as I remember ba 001 (not concord) the a318 from London city to JFK.
That stopped at Shannon as it had us coustems or something like that
Apparently UK airports are interested in US pre clearance. It appears that EDI are in discussions for it.
Ok this time is live spotting but this time from Gatwick
The airbus a380-800 has just arrived in from Dubai
Operating for emaraties
Next up we have the easyJet A319 which has just arrived in from Geneva in Switzerland
It ONLEY let’s me do 3 posts at a time so I’m extending this one
Next I have the easyJet a320 in from Naples
Finally a change from easyJet we have the vueling a319 in from Florence
Next we have the worlds favourite airline… Ryanair
This 737-800 has just arrived in from Dublin
Ok I’m going to stop for today as the next 4 or 5 aircraft landing are easyJet
So that’ll conclude today’s spotting
So I looked through my old Avation pictures around 2017 2018 and I got some really good ones, so here are some pictures while I was at Manchester for 4 days. First in the Science museum of an RR RB211 (29/6/2018) followed by me visiting TAS show to pick up some models and then going into G-BOAC (30/6/2018)
Every time I’ve been to the Science and Industry museum the majority of it is closed off, last time I went they just had the main building with the kids activities in it open. If you want an interesting museum I’d say go for the National Railway Museum or one of the Royal Air Force museums (the one at Cosford has a VC-10 on display).
The TAS events were always great for model buying, really cheap and some hard to get stuff. Went the 2018 one myself but haven’t been one since, I think they run them in February as well now, alongside the July one.
I’ve been to the National Railway museum during my time staying in the UK but my god getting the train from Manchester Victoria to York is a complete nightmare, overcrowding, short trains, slow and pretty high fares (not to mention I bought it 2 days before my trip) I’m pretty sure Britain’s railways really need to resolve all of these issues quickly as my experience with them where below expectations especially since I was staying in the city centre
Am I going crazy or is that a Southwest A380 model in the 2nd picture?
That is a Southwest A380, there was a lot of activities at MAN at that day, a fair, a car show and the TAS show where you can pick up some rare and cheap models, I even went there to pickup tons of models at the fair before I flew back home, and it was sunny and hot on that day. ![]()
