I’m seriously considering heading over to the US next year, so I guess we shall see what happens. I’m looking at flying on a Jet2 one in February, just waiting see if they have any discount for the Winter Ski flights which includes Geneva.

If you do, you should head to DUB or one of the smaller UK airports (Edinburgh etc) there a good chance that a United 757 would operate between there to New York and possibly Chicago. I’ve managed to spot one while I was there yesterday.

Potentially try Condor or Icelandair? Yes it would be more expensive but would still have the roar of the RB211.

I’d take a regular 737 over a MAX due to noise reasons (I trust the MAX) but very happy that I will finally get to go on an aircraft with IAE V2500 with the Titan A320.

I’ve already flown on a Condor one (back in April) and Jet2 ones aren’t in the schedule after February it seems. Going to the US means I could possibly tie it in with a 747 flight, I look at various options.

That would be another aircraft ticked off the list so that would probably be a good idea! The US is 757 heaven and I know by the time I get out there most if not all will be gone.

I was looking at MAN to IAD via FRA last night, it’s something which is a fair bit cheaper than I thought. Something I’m now very interested in doing, plus I can look for a 757 flight out of there to either ORD or BOS (assuming they still use 757s next year). Also gives me chance take the train up to New York.

My family has promised me a Vegas trip when for my 21st so may get something 757 ish out of that.

I believe ATL to LAS is a mix of A321s, 757-200s and 757-300s. However I’d recommend searching for a Condor 757, book at the right times and it was cheap (my flight with them was cheap, including the seat selection and a meal) if you put up with the god awful flight times Condor seem to have.

Have done many odd flight times with TUI over the years and delays ontop of that so I think I would manage with that.

Ive been on an IAE V2500 A320 but that was with Wizz air mainly from Cork and Belfast.
Titan has 2 aircraft G-POWK and G-POWM there
You have a 50/50 chance of getting on a Modern interior A320-200 or on a Classic interior A320-200 just saying.

That is really useful to know actually! Have you got any idea of which one is which?

I’ve posted some of these before, but getting the chance to fly on a 757-300 was well worth it. Shame there isn’t many of them.

Getting a sunrise vice sunset was a nice change when flying though!

The thing that impresses me is when you look down the aisle and struggle to see the end of the cabin in a single aisle jet. (Maybe not struggle but you get the idea.)

They always say they take a really long time to board, but they boarded this one fairly quickly. I’d imagine using steps would be a time consuming process though.

Zakynthos doesn’t have any jet bridges so boarding a 757 is definitely a time consuming process. Thinking of going to a café by the airport this year so will check FR24 in advance and see if I can get a descent shot of a Jet2 757.

LS977 on Wednesdays is a 757, arrives at 19:00, returns to MAN at 20:00 as LS978.

I do and luckily I been on both

This is the classic Interior on EI-DEE an exactly 20 year old A320-200 on 22/6/2024

And this is the modern Interior on board TC-FHP an at the time a 9 year old A320-200 on 26/6/2023

Not much of a difference apart from the overhead panel and most Classic interiors until 2006/2007 have different FAP, I think the last classic Interior was in 2008? Here are what they look like:

Classic:

Modern:

It could be a differents with the overhead bin design but that’s for A320-200 that was built in the 1980s and 1990s

Also have LS1797 on Sundays

I’m going to Tenerife, not Zakynthos.
