That flight number in the 9000s… makes me think it was probably a maintenance test flight or something.

Thanks! It was not easy since we where moving, I did try to do it at the mound in the afternoon but my camera died so I had to cancel but this is what it usually should look like.

Just remembered this when finding out, the plan for an Icelandair 757 has failed miserably and I’ve ended up on a pair of MAX 8s, still going go though as they are an airline which I’ve wanted try for a while, and surprisingly I’ve only flown on 1 737 MAX.

Ahhh! What a shame! In the coming years I’ll probably save to go on a trip to the US (BA across the Atlantic) then fly the 757 and 717 of delta, if they announce plans to retire the 717 before i have the money to do this trip, then i’ll have to Pay for me to fly it from ATL to AVL instead of driving.

The lucky thing is the trip wasn’t a bad price, as the return leg had Saga Premium fares at only like £30 more than economy so I decided pay the extra, so I’ve got one way in Economy and one in Business, it’s a new airline, new country and something which isn’t going down the Canary Islands!

I’m going to flick around for Condor 757s or look around for reasonably priced transatlantic flights. Good excuse to use the Avios balance on something.

Yeah, there might be some good prices on certain days on united from Edinburgh

Yeah not too bad,

That was in the middle of summer, in march its even better

That’s a plan, if not then you’ve got US transcon and getting a redemption on BA or Aer Lingus UK over to the states, I know MAN to MCO with Virgin comes up with connections at ATL onto a 757, so hope is not lost. Part of the fun of booking rarer aircraft types is watching for it swap, might end up swapping again who knows.
