Farewell Jet2 757. Seen them all the time when I was in the canaries in 2018 and 2019.

Such a shame thay I’ve only had 4 flights on them, even for that many I know I’m lucky. By some shear luck I may be able to do a Condor one before they go, get one last flight with RB211s.

I’ve been on a flight with RB211s just not the 757

I guess you might have to take the “757” out of your username if there’s no 757s to spot😞

Jokes aside I really hope the devs still add jet2, tui, and Thomas cook 757s into the game when it’s time for the remodel…

We will find out what liveries they add at some point, Thomas Cook I personally can’t see despite it being somewhat wanted and having the A330 in game. Jet2 I could possibly see, especially given they spent their last few weeks frequently visiting PRG. Still got Icelandair 757s to go after (stay tuned for that one, if it goes to plan), and theres always heading across to the states at some point over the next few years.

If there’s anyway for me to push for some of our British 757 liveries in the future, I’ll at least try…

Well google maps says its half an hour to walk to the spotting location. I could probably walk it in 25. But anyway its a good location so when it warms up a bit (probably april) i’ll go for a few hours and spot.

To some not so sad stuff.
Aer Lingus to Indiana!
A round trip (including going on the inaugural) is actually quite cheap.

Tried to do some spotting yesterday but one flight was late (probably backlog from severe storms that passed through) and no others were taking off soon, so I grabbed some on the ground :sunglasses:
Western Global Airlines MD11 (unknown reg #) and an unknown DC9, B717, or MD80:

A Nicholas Air C68A #N328N and an Airshare E55P #N361AS (with two Western Global Airlines B744s and an MD11 in the background)

And then two more Western Global Airlines MD11s #N581JN and unknown reg:

That other MD11 you said that has an unknown reg on the last picture, I believe that’s N764SN which doesn’t appear to be on the official website so other than that I’m not sure.

The colors made me think ex-FedEx or Lufthansa Cargo or something.

You’re right I can see the faint ghost of it! Huh.

Edit: After looking it up, turns out Western Global Airlines has 7 of Lufthansa’s old MD-11s! I believe this one is N784SN, the second to last MD-11 flying with LH Cargo as D-ALCD. WGA also has LH’s last flying MD-11, N783SN/D-ALCC, which had a sticker that said “Thank you MD-11, Farewell”. Almost all were acquired by LH ~2000 and retired ~2015-2020.
Here is the last pic of her wearing the LH logo:

And another with her new reg and white paint, just before being ferried from FRA to SHV.

Another accident

A Cessna citation CJ1 has crashed in Brazil while arriving to an airport near Sau Paulo. We only know of one death which was the pilot. Rest in piece to anyone involved https://www.youtube.com/shorts/aYsN_vj7tbY
