Sometimes you are connected to someone in a different timezone and only need aircraft to arrive at certain times (easy to figure out your departure time thanks to @carlsberg72 's Spreadsheet but pesky things like work and sleep get in the way.
Having a scheduled departure would solve that problem and it would help open up the game for those people in timezones with less local players.
