SXM Pre Release discussion

I believe that might be part of the plan with contracts, where they arrive as part of a completion bonus alongside the levels.

Oh. In that case I can’t wait for the update!

Merry Christmas! Dear Europeans
In Europe, we believe that countries are just welcoming Christmas morning, December 24th.
Japan is already about to welcome the holy night of December 24th at 6 pm and Christmas Eve in full swing.
I can’t wait for the update.
If it comes around December 24-25, I hope it will be a Christmas present to Japanese users tomorrow morning.

Another unfulfilled wish… :frowning: Let´s see what is comming tomorrow. There is deadline for “guess the update release date” on discord on 4th January. I guess we cannot wait next several month for results.

More new things!

If you look properly and carefully, you can see that the cockpit, wings, windows, and various other areas are more advanced than the current 340.
This is the third reworking of the B777, B747, and earlier aircraft, and a total of four different airplanes are coming to the update, including the addition of the DHC-6.

The current SAAB 340 is painted by four different companies, Japan Air Commuter, Sprint Air, WestJet, and Silver Airways, and we hope the new SAAB will have more paints!

Is it just me or is it that the wheel chocks are new as well?

Correct those are new. It looks like the entire handling process is being remodeled to make it more realistic

Well seaborne and aircentury are shown so yes there will be more

Discussions on the forum has slowed down. I guess everyone is waiting for things to come. Just to stirr the pot a bit, I like to hear your opinion on the latest announcement of the devs:

Isn’t handling small biz jets or general aviation on major airports “eating” into potential profits of handling lager planes?

On the other hand it gets kinda interesting when the unused real estate on MCT gets populated with GA.

What are your thoughts?

I like the idea of business jets, when they do become functional they will add some life to the smaller airports, and even if it’s only 200w per flight, just some random income alongside regular commercial flights makes things a bit more interesting than forever wondering how many Ryanair 737s will land one after another.

They could even just be a cosmetic thing.
Sometimes I’ll not land aircraft whilst I concentrate on handling those on the ground,
They could land without the need for player interaction, just coming and going in the background

That is an interesting idea. Can be put to other uses, too.

It’s boring because the additional column has not been updated

About this.
This was the one thing I had to bring to improve my willingness to update

I like playing the game and the more realism it gets the better it is.
The new update is announced since a year and I can read what all will be in this new update, but the longer I have to wait the more the game bores me. I have all connection prizes I wanted, my fleets are grown that I would never see a generic plane if they wouldn’t come every 10th arrival and if the money I earned was real I’d buy Twitter back from Elon Musk or support the world feed program (which would the better use).
Short said, I didn’t play so much the last months and the game needs fresh input to get me back playing.

I can see where you are coming from. But with the contracts it seems that arrivals wont be as frequent as now. As the devs explained the airlines offer contracts in which they specify how often the plane arrives. So general aviation would be a great way to bring more activity for those times when no or little commercial planes arrive.

If that is the case it will be a negative side effect, which I do not hope to see.
