SXM Pre Release discussion

Not yet at this moment.

But there will surely be more airports to be added in the game to play.

I assume it could be another hub airport like IAD and MCT.

That I’m not actually to sure about, I would say most likely not and was created for the post, but at the same time I’m inclined to say it very well may be.

Hopefully, but the Question is in what Continent, have in America with IAD, Asia with MCT, Europe with PRG…
Maybe SYD in Oceania or Johannesburg in Africa, but Which one Would you Like as the Next Playable Airport ???

it wont be the update after SXM???

Asia is NGO, MCT is the middle east

No it won’t, the next update after 2.0 will likely have aircraft reworks. But that’s pretty normal, they haven’t released airports back to back in the past.

I am also very excited to hear that the frequency of updates will return to normal after the next update.

According to what I’ve seen, the most likely candidates are London Heathrow, Dubai, Hong Kong Kai Tak, and Sydney (or another Australian airport). Those would all fit the devs criteria for a large airport except Kai Tak.

Also it’s been confirmed from the moderators that a devblog or some other major news will likely come this weekend, so stay tuned. It will not be update release or beta as far as we know though.

If I have a choice from the two, SYD would be the best option for me. It has two runways that can operate like LEJ so I don’t worry about the planes that have to cross the runway, and the geolocation means a potential of super long connections to reduce my time to manage my fleet in these airport.

Beyond that, I know it could be technically unfeasible at this moment, HKG and SIN could be my favorable pick for such hubs.

What I like to see is MCT with selectable runways. That is relatively easy to accomplish. The MCT runway system is ideal for this. LEJ also.

Maybe there is a new airport in the works. On Facebook this picture was published as part of LEJ.

However in the hazy background I can see buildings that are not part of LEJ. Am I imagining things?

Might be something to do with the 3D scenery around the airports being remodelled, so the devs are able to add more now.

Could be, but this isn’t LEJ. Those buildings are not be found there. Check with Google Earth.

It’s definitely LEJ

Quite a make over then. Another thing to look forward to.

Yep, I think this can also happen in IAD and future airports with 2 runways with enough separation (DXB is also an airport that can make this happen I remeber?)

What we need to have in the game is a more detailed control of runway operation, and I suspect it would cost the devs sometime to figure that out (finding the route for aircrafts for different runway operation can be a little bit tricky!)

Apparently fog and haze were already in the game? I’ve just never seen it. It takes the data from real world METAR readings

Yeah it looks like there’s a bunch of new buildings back there. This is a somewhat older photo, you can tell because the most recent images have other details such as GPU cords, fuel hoses, and new pilot animations.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen fog or haze before, just rain and snow

Apparently it exists, just very
Rare. I’ve never seen it either
