Hate to break it to you but 16L is only used for domestic terminal’s departures, 16R is all arrivals and international terminal and cargo terminal departures (as far as I know, someone else who has the international terminal can confirm, this is just my experience from one cargo stand)

I did. I am not totally sure which aspect you were actually discussing but I suggest you were to mention the runway operation.

This is a typical peak time operation I believe, which I just got a screenshot of it minutes ago. I have mentioned in the previous post, although it is doing in an opposite direction.

It is clear that the plane shown at the southeast is landing at 34R, not 34L.

You may also have a look at this post as it has shown a narrowbody jet landed exactly the way I mentioned previously (although it taxied to international terminal).

Someone lives near SYD also mentioned this. So that would be my question if devs could opt for the most typical, realistic, and efficient way.

If your idea was mainly about stands allocation, I would say I don’t have a clear idea on that now and I’ll have a deatiled look into the link you have posted.

This is wrong. China airlines, Cebu pacific, Air NZ and Fiji Airways are some of many airlines that land on 16L (I’m from sydney and go planespotting A LOT there)

Why did you buy most of the international stands as S? I usually buy the largest type available, expect in some situations like the north terminal at IAD, or SXM. Or did you just want to have all the stands unlocked?

They are avoiding double rwy arrivals like the plague. My guess is they just can’t figure out the taxiing system.

I wonder if you all who are asking for double runway arrivals keep in mind that means that you’ll barely have any departures right?

I want all stands for the handling crew (which is now ten away from being maxed) and most of them I really don’t care about because I am minmaxing. If I were using L planes I would also have bought L stands

I was talking in game, I have clue how it operates irl because I live halfway across the globe

As long as I push back the planes, they take off, so my dream Is an airport with multiple arrival runways that I can land a whole airport with tower manager, handle, pushback, and close lol

Hope they gonna add this route as well:)

So basically you’d be ok with a long line of planes waiting just letting others land and just close the app when it gets too much?

When I play most large airports, I land and handle until the entire airport is full, then pushback all before closing the app lol. There aren’t many airports I mimic IRL operations at as I much prefer a full airport to an empty one.

I’d rather have that instead of empty stands but that’s just me.

Hey devs!

I’ve been playing SYD for a few hours now and I’m really excited. As others have said, it’s a massive - positive - release in contrast to all the bugs in LHR.

The model is really wonderful and it’s hard for me to find any criticism at all.

Basically, I hardly have anything to add.

I would like to see a third functioning gate bridge and I would also prefer to use the RWY as in real life (two RWYs for landing AND take-off)

What I would definitely still like to see is an optimisation of the player contracts. At the beginning, you had to see which aircraft could get from SYD to where. in this context, I would again initiate fuel stops to increase the range in order to have a greater variety of player destinations. Furthermore, I don’t know why the A388 doesn’t make it from SYD to MCT. After all, Qatar and Emirates fly every day from the middle east to SYD on the A388. Why can’t we do the same?

But as I said, I really had to think long and hard about what could be improved, there are really mostly positive things about this release. Other forum members have many ideas here, but I don’t have to repeat everything.

you’ve done really well - devs.

Yes was on about runway operations.

That doesn’t have to be the case. If you start the airport and have few planes on the ground, but a lot waiting to land, you could slowly takeoff more and more, and we could also have a gate based system like other airports where planes going to one half of the airport would land on the L runway and planes to the other half on the R runway. Takeoffs could be split in the same way, giving you many more options on how to run your airport.

Why are some aircraft positions possible in real life with M aircraft and in the game only with S aircraft?

Probably because in game the dimensions arnt spot on

I really hope they change this, like D44 and D56 on the map on FR24 clearly has 738 parked on it :sweat_smile::sweat_smile: or D1 where you can park an E190

Also I hope they add the two S parkings 18 and 18A
