Why should this airline be added?
Founded in 2006 by the same team who set up the late Blue Islands, who went bust back end of last year, this virtual airline (Virtual means it had no aircraft or operating licence, hence the use of other airlines IATA/ICAO’s) was to compete with EuroManx for flights to and from the Isle of Man. EuroManx went bust in 2008 leaving just Manx2 to carry the mantlet on flights from Ronaldsway competing with EZY and FlyBe. Manx2 continued operating across the UK, not just on flights to and from Ronaldsway but also flew from Belfast City Airport (An airport we need as a destination in-game for irl BA LHR flights), Blackpool airport and Cardiff Airport from which it operated numerous flights across the UK and Ireland as well as operating from Cheltenham/Gloucestershire Airport as a focus city with flights to destinations such as Jersey. The airline was purchased in November 2012 by Citywing and all assets were transferred by the years end.It would be a fun airline to see in-game on the new Let L-410 model with the type easily having the range from all 4 bases and the 1 focus city to LHR, it flew to London Oxford in 2012, as well as the Manx2 livery being seen at PRG every so often as it visited whilst manoeuvring about as the aircraft were based and maintained in the Czech Republic by Van Air Europe. Plus an airline for the Isle of Man with a cool livery would be ace to see. It would also be a great airline to see at a potential future MAN
.
