Why should this livery be added?
This was the first A321 ordered by the airline fresh from Airbus in 2000 to replace the A320 that had been with the airline since 1996. It was based at Heathrow and Gatwick, flying to Athens and back for the airline but all that came crashing down in the post 9/11 world when Virgin Atlantic did a big shake up of its operations and binned its short haul ops entirely. It’s one of those oddities and would make for an excellent event aircraft at European airports and especially LHR, where it even could form part of the early pass.Alongside Virgin Sun and the 2013-15 second attempt at short haul ops, this would expand Virgin’s fleet at LHR and make the early game much more fun and interesting for new players.
