Hello!
Tried to make a calculation to avoid flying non-profit-routes.
There may be some tiny mistakes in this table:

  • fuel consumption is only calculated with some routes
  • price for checks A to C not easy to read without hawk-eyes
  • as i don’t have any concorde - no calculation for this bird
If someone has more valid data for fuel consumption or better eyes -be welcome

How to use this table:

  • Calculation ist for selling just before check D
  • example for B757: if you fly routes where the distance divided by the revenue is >= 0.85 than you make a breakeven in the end (and get 2 gold) - [blue column]
If you fly routes where the factor is = 1.33 the total revenue at the end will be the price you paid for the B757 [green column]

This is great! Thank you for the work and effort.

Like most of the people on here, we believe that shorter routes are more profitable. Is this your agreement as well?

Also, which aircraft in each size is the most profitable?

Dividing the revenue of a Route by the length gives you “w per mile”. Yes ,in most cases the shorter routes are more profitabel. If “w per mile” is lower then the value in my table the route is not profitable with the choosen aircraft.
The lower the “w per mile” in the blue collumn the more profitable is the aircraft.
