Okay… now that I’m looking really closely at SAN… I have to leave… so many missing jet bridges lol

Yeah, I don’t feel like San needs a remodel, but definitely a rework bringing us more L stands, correct cargo apron, accurate jet bridges ect.

More L stands? As far as I’m aware san only has two L stands?

The worst part about San is that it’s such a missed opportunity, San has such a fast runway and taxi time with a unique layout but the lack of good cargo apron and X/L stands ruin it. I think they should move the cargo apron to the correct spot and replace the current cargo apron with more passenger X/L stands

Or make it hybrid. I also think there are some gates at syd that handles pax and cargo. Would like to see that.
And @Pizza_711 i think rhey do.

In game San has a total of 4 X/L pax stands (even SXM has more) and 2 X/L cargo stands

Yea, its already accepts more L planes than it does at a time in real life, so other than adding in the new cargo terminal and maybe a GA expansion if that comes to the game one day, I don’t think anything else is necessary.

Currently, the third and fourth L/X stands are actually Remain Overnight Parking slots, as well as the Island parking that doesn’t exist in game as of yet. There’s a few other holding / RON / overflow parking ramps that could be used in game if they really wanted to, but those are needed imo.

Not to forget the brand new terminal and new secondary taxi lane with like 30 new medium parking stands where the devs have the cargo area. They should move the cargo across the runway where it actually is and put the new terminal in.

The new T1 isn’t slated to be open until 2025 unless something has changed and therefore will open in 2026 because US governments regardless of jurisdiction and construction equals delays lol.

Depends if the jetbridge can go down low enough.

Funny thing last year at Gatwick aircraft parked at North Terminal we walked off the jet ridge down some steps then onto a bus waiting to take us to south terminal

I’ve experienced it multiple times at MAN and TFS.

At MAN, if you arrive on a flight from within the Common Travel Area at Terminal 1, you need to be bused to a special arrivals area as T1 isn’t designed to take domestic flights. The same occasional happens at Terminal 3, as my Ryanair flight from DUB-MAN in January 2023 arrived at a stand without the CTA/Domestic arrival channel, as Ryanair flights from Ireland normally use gate 51 with the corridor in place, as the other domestic arrivals channel at T3 seems to be used mostly by British Airways flights from LHR.

At TFS, the new non-Schengen C Gates don’t have a border for arrivals, so they bus you over to the border at the other side of the terminal. Departing flights are as normal as they have a border for leaving the Schengen.

The thing is thought @CJ_RVWilliams is from America, and all your guys’ experiences are in Europe. So as he said it’s just a USA thing for every aircraft to use jetways and he can see why people from around the world think it’s strange.

That is really strange lol… In the USA I have never boarded a bus from a plane to a different terminal. I can’t imagine this is a common thing lol.

At least on the American end of things, I think busses really only get used at remote stands in our corner of the world. But if it is a thing outside of the US (as @ukplanespotter757 seems to be implying) perhaps this is an issue best dealt with at a per airport basis.

Hopefully the developers do update the way buses/walking out to the aircraft and jetway placement (ie 757s using L2 vice L1) works in game. It’s like having 1 bendy bus at LEJ for an entire A380s worth of passengers, ideally the bus should be refreshed at least 3 or 4 times over the boarding/deboarding period to match capacity. Some changes which I hope are made note of at some point.

Well me in Europe I haven’t either.

Yes definitely do things differently across the pond, like in July when a power unit caught fire and their was a A320 next it, it took fire service ages because apparently they had to wait to allow aircraft to pass etc but over here in the UK and apparently mainland Europe do it as well if that was here all aircraft would have to stop to allow the fire service to pass and attend the fire.

Yes you definitely do things differently over there :joy:
