I’ve only played ZRH for about 10 minutes now, and all I can say is WOW! Great work from the devs on both the airport and the new 747 models! I don’t care if it’s a day late if it’s more stable. Keep up the great work!!

Maybe i am too quick to ask. But is someone already so far or does anyone know which destinations all plane contracts are going to?

I can also say WOW to the devs - they have done a wonderful job!

How do runways operate in ZRH? Which ones are used for landing and takeoff?

I have a question about Airbaltic. They have several routes from ZRH, but I can’t find them in the game’s destinations. Are they missing from the list, or is it because they’re leased to Swiss?

They’re operated for SWISS that’s why they aren’t their own contracts

Right now
RWY32 Departures / RWY34 Arrivals

But sometimes IRL
RWY32 Departures / RWY28 Arrivals
RWY14 Arrivals / RWY16 Departures

Not sure if ever RWY10 Departures and RWY14 Arrivals

So we can’t choose the runway (on which one they land) manually

Not yet, that’s a work in progress and even when that will be available it will only be the RWY’s available depending on wind direction so you can choose whatever RWY you want

Zrh airport is currently using the below concept ( is from airport ops) but in game its using runway 32-34. So the concept is not quite up to date yet of using the airports current real runways, right?

@Charlie is this still work in progress? Because Zrh mostly tries to not use that concept 32-34 as its limits the operations of the airport. With below concept aircraft can start and land independently and do not interfear with each other but aircraft taxi for departure have to cross active runway.

It’s pretty rare but planes do sometimes take off on Runway 10 and land on 14, I wouldn’t expect the devs to implement this though. Also, the Runway 34 landings aren’t that common either, I think today we had 28 arrivals all day, for example.

Only configurations which are impossible are landings on Runways 10 and 32, as well as departures on 14.

I have no information on that but I hope also that the concept can be activated somehow. Would also much prefer the real life 28/32 concept during the day. the 32/34 we had in game today is pretty rare irl or just active after a certain time in the evening/night.

I just started the game and had the “standard” 14 landing, 16/28 departure configuration. It’s just strange to have it in the late evening, as exactly at this time it usually isn’t in operation anymore.

I really like the concept but it could be a bit fine-tuned to be more realistic
