Yeah, it’s a nice change of pace, though. We have always had parallel runways so flow has been constant apart from BKK. Hoping we get more diverse runway layouts and configurations in the future.

I am a bit worried the big issue here could be something similar to GRU (I didn’t know if that happened to someone or if it will happen).
When you have departure ATC activated, and when multiple planes are heading to Runway 16, the first plane will take off then block the landing until the plane has left the ground. But the next plane has already lined up and therefore the ATC will ask it to take off immediately and blocking all upcoming landings until all the planes waiting to take off have gone. That was honestly the most frustrating thing I had when playing GRU so I had to manually take off planes to maximize efficiency.

Ah I forgot that at GRU lol, but it’s the same issue with BKK. Haven’t had an issue with it in ZRH so far, or I just have not noticed it. I have a few heavies coming in a few, I’ll let you know.

Can confirm it doesn’t happen in ZRH. I had 6 heavies and 3 Cs in queue for departure and the arrivals kept coming in between. Probably due to the longer taxi to the runway from the holding point and farther stopping point than in GRU/BKK.

I think runway 28 landing is feasible IRL. But the question here is that if the landing can work together with runway 16 landing otherwise it doesn’t make much sense.
Runway 10 may be less useful. If mainly using runway 32 for landing any take off or landing on runway 10 will collide with the go around path. if the main landing runway is 16 it may still go down to the same question above that if landings on intersected runways from different directions are possible.

Yes that was the case. I have tested it myself as well. It could result in the next landing wait for a while like when the last landing plane was just about leaving the runway and the takeoff plane was rolling because it got a vacant runway and no queuing. But since it wasn’t about landing queues frozen there forever so I am fine about it.

I’ve got about 120 now, not really much of a problem even with the heavies.
A great tip I got is buying A stands early on. They cost 2000 wollars but you get handlers and contracts in exchange.

Nah, never used GP on handlers anywhere. I’ve opened most of the airport. I only have the remote stands left to do but I’ll probably just buy the A and D stands for more handlers and contract space

I feel it a bit but Just use the free ones you get every two hours and try and get wollars to open more gates

However, the website says otherwise, but!!! Can wide bodies land on 28?
edit: I just looked it up and it shows A350s and other airplanes using 28 for landings
might i just add that the southern approach runway 28 takeoffs dont get used.
I am only assuming that they just didnt do the runway 10 arrivals because of taxi programming?
