Why should this livery be added?
A weird one to suggest but AAL operated 177 of this aircraft type since the first was delivered in 1989, one lost to an accident in 1995 and another lost on 9/11 but in that year the airline acquired 27 from their takeover of TWA, all of which were retired to Uzbekistan Airways or Delta by 2008 due to a different configuration and not operating with the RR engines that AAL used. In 2015, the takeover of AAL was completed by US Airways who steadily merged their fleet into the AAL fleet and repainted the ones they didn’t retire, including 24 757-200s, of which 16 were repainted and the other 8 ex-America West aircraft were retired. 6 of the 16 were retired in 2017 and the last 10 in 2020 when American was retiring the type completely, which were serving alongside 24 AAL variants. These 16 are the ones showcased in-game e.g. below,As you can see above with both the image of the ex-US Airways aircraft and the in-game, they have a set of doors behind the wing whereas the AAL mainline aircraft in the main body do not.
This is the reason for this post as it would be good to have the variant used by American Airlines as nearly 50 were repainted with only 16 of these being US Airways configs and the 30 odd others being AAL with only the 6 doors.I know it’s a little pedantic but I feel the AAL 752 deserves to be the one that served the airline through and through, with the 8 door variant being moved aside to a US Airways airline in the future.
