:pushpin: Why should this airline be added?
Founded in 1986, Air Aruba did not started as the main air carrier from the Dutch Caribbean island of Aruba but rather as a ground handling agent for most airlines in Aruba. Two years after being founded, Air Aruba with the help of KLM & Air Holland carried out its first commercial flight with a YS-11 turbo-prop type aircraft operating between Aruba, Bonaire, and Curaçao.

Air Aruba expanded to various destinations in the Caribbean, North America and South America with a fleet of Boeing aircraft like 727, 737, 757, and 767. Air Aruba also had destinations across the Atlantic to Amsterdam and Cologne but this flight was initially operated in on behalf of Air Holland but was later assumed completely by Air Aruba.

In 2000, Air Aruba filed for bankruptcy due to the rising cost of operations and management, with Air Aruba suspending its operations on October 23.
