Aviation Talking Point

Might have to revise my answer. I’ve also been on a United B767-400ER, of which only 37 were ever built, and only United (Continental) and Delta have them.

Considering the only planes I remember flying on are a 737-700, 737-800, 737-MAX8, A320 and 787-8, I’ll pick the 787-8. (I maybe could have flown other aircraft when I was like 2 or 3 years old, but idk)

I have a question. Do you every fly in winter?

Yep! Have loads before! Not this year sadly.

I have a other question. What is your shortest time to go by check in and safety Control at the airport.
Mine is 15-20 minutes at WAW when im fly to PMI with Ryanair this year. But we wait for plane not 1,5 hour but 3 hours because its delated.

Try going to a third world country and getting cancelled or delayed hours and hours :expressionless:

Not December, too stressful to travel during the Holidays for my family. Past that there aren’t many opportunities to fly, though I have flown shorter routes in both January and Febuary.

It’s 50/50, I like them and I don’t like them for a few reasons

Pros

  • Its Cheap, (probably the cheapest in Europe)
  • It’s gets me to places on time (most of the time)
  • Its has a very good range of food and drink
  • The seats in my opinion are pretty comfortable (as long as it has the new seats)
  • The best safety of a major airline (no crashes and only some incidents)

Cons

  • Only includes a tiny bag allowance which took big will result in a fine and charging for carrying on and checked bags (good for short trips, very bad for a holiday)
  • Very awkward boarding, only Priority passengers board first which is only possible if you have a 10KG bag which is expensive (very annoying if you want to board first.)
  • Fees for even the most minor mistakes, for example if you lost you printed boarding pass it’s like €10, if you forget to check in online its like €55, all of these are pretty annoying for me as it makes it so much expensive in the long run.
  • Here’s an obvious one, if you are travelling with Friends/ Family and you don’t pay to reserve a seat they will purposely split you up and (usually) assign a middle seat away from your friends.

I’m going to leave it there, but usually if I’m going on holiday to Spain or Greece for example I tend to book with either a Holiday Airline (TUI, JET2) or a premium Airline (Aer Lingus, Iberia) as it usually includes a checked bag (and sometimes a bit cheaper at the end of booking) but at my local airport some destinations in Europe there is no choice but to fly Ryanair like to WRO or KRK or BRI.

PS. It’s my local airline I sometimes pass through their HQ when I go shopping so that’s a plus.

On your last point. Ryanair does assign the middle seat if you don’t pay to choose your seat.

But here is a way to avoid it (if it really works). And you also could (potentially) use it to only keep seats together if you travel with more people

Here’s a little thing!

What airline did you have the best or worst experience on?

Personally, I had the best experience on Virgin Atlantic’s A350-1000 from Manchester to Orlando. Some of the best service I have ever had on a flight and generally a really fun time!
