Aviation Talking Point

A statement has been released saying that the Alaska B737 MAX9 was missing 2 bolts at the bottom and 4 at the top. I would assume that many people will now lose trust in Boeing although I still trust their brand/company. If Iโ€™m due to fly on a MAX I will happily go on it. What are everyoneโ€™s thoughts on this?

I feel like Iโ€™m losing trust on the 737Max and I will only fly on older 737s like missing bolts not fitted is absolutely shocking and is a massive safety risk. This is a lethal aircraft I will avoid.

Well then itโ€™s. It boings fault

We lost trust in Boeing 5 years ago

I still have trust in them, any trust I do still have is slowly fading away though.

thats also true

I only have hopen for the 787 and 777x if these met the same fate as 737 max that means Boeing is building dangerous aircraft.

Boeing need to start running their own race and admit the fact that Airbus have now overtaken them. The reason shoddy workmanship has shown is due to Boeing trying to keep up with Airbus through comprising safety and cutting corners. As history has shown with the DC-10, one rushed aircraft can destroy a company.

Oh the Death cruiser 10?

After Turkish Airlines 981, McDonnell Douglas was hit by many lawsuits. The crash harmed the reputation of both the company and the aircraft. Will history repeat itself?

:pushpin: Austrian Airlines to replace Embraer E195s with ATR 72-600

From the summer flight program 2024, Braathens Regional Airlines (BRA), Austrian Airlinesโ€™ new cooperation partner, will take over certain routes currently operated by the Embraer 195 aircraft through wet lease. This partnership primarily enhances efficiency and cost-effectiveness on the selected routes, thereby ensuring a sustainable connection to the Vienna hub.

Due to the fact that demand for air travel has not fully recovered on certain regional routes after the pandemic, Austrian Airlines faces new challenges. Particularly, the slow recovery of business travel demand results in a lower demand level, necessitating adjusted capacity structures for economically viable operations. Routes such as Vienna to Klagenfurt or Koลกice are neither economically nor operationally ideal for Austrian Airlinesโ€™ current fleet. These routes will now be served by Braathens Regional Airlines (BRA). This means that aircraft and crews will be provided by the partner airline. On board, passengers can expect the familiar Austrian Airlines catering product, and both Business and Economy Class seats will be offered. The flights will be operated with two ATR propeller aircraft, which, due to their lower capacity, are more efficient for the respective routes, emit less CO2, and provide the appropriate seat volume for the markets served, with 72 seats.

Anybody hear play any other airport/airplane games life a flight sim or something

Yes I play infinite flight and uatc but I am planning to get msfs 2024 when it comes out

Waiting to build my PC to get back into MSFS again. Probably logged a couple thousand hours back in the day. Also play Airport Madness (all), and Radar Chaos sometimes. Radar Chaos is made by the same guys as AM, but itโ€™s an ATC simulator thatโ€™s much more realistic.

I play a lot of Mobile and PC games likes RFS, Infinite flight, TFS, FSX 2020, Airport CEO and Airport SIM. You can add mods and DLCs in PC Games especially Airport CEO and. MSFS

What are you guys best airport in the game?

Lhr but that could change with syd depending on the detail of the scenery

That would be LHR although it was rushed. Itโ€™s the closest airport in game to where I live. (BTW I live across the pond)
