:compass: Purpose or Role in Game
A short-haul regional turboprop, used for passengers transport, light cargo operations, and a variety of military roles.

:chart_increasing: Why should this aircraft be added?

Adding the F27 would bring valuable historical depth and fleet diversity to the game, giving players an aircraft ideal for short routes, regional operations, and light cargo flights. It also appeals to aviation fans who love classic airliners, and importantly, it moves us one step closer to “unlocking” Hong Kong Kai Tak. The developers have stated that Kai Tak will only come once enough classic aircraft are in the game, so adding the F27 helps “tick off” another essential classic needed to make that airport possible.

A bit of history:

The Fokker F27 Friendship is a classic iconic plane that was designed to be a successor to earlier piston engine-powered airliners that had become commonplace on the market, like the DC-3. It went on to become one of the most successful European turboprops of its era, with more than 580 produced, and with operators on every continent.

Man that US Army Golden Knights F27 is nostalgic. Would love to see the F27 in game!

Best looking and sounding turboprop is the F27. Remember when Channel Express (Jet2) had them at Bournemouth.

ngl, I had never heard about this aircraft until 2 days ago, but now the more I read and learn about it, the more I see how great this aircraft was/is… and I feel a bit jealous of the people who have flown them. Btw, thank you for telling me one airline that used the F27 that IS in game!

Do love some of the nicknames this aircraft was given, ‘Noise converter’ being one of my favourites I read somewhere. Converts fuel into noise.

Oh yeah! Such a gorgeous aircraft! :star_struck:

The white livery makes it look like someone just spent Golden Planes to add it to their fleet
