It gets worse
LONG LIVE THE JETWAY
The good ol’ ‘mericans. Gotta love em (oh wait… im half American………)
insert slow chanting of “one of us”
These are both easily M planes based on this…
What’s so bad about this? This looks perfectly normal to me!
(waits to trigger all Europeans lol)
Even as a Canadian, an atr using a bridge hurts my eyes
What the hell
Can’t see F70 being an M, what’s EMB 175 can’t remember, though even the BAe 146-300 gets jet bridges.
I guess it depends, are the measurements you provided wingspan or length? I assumed wingspan as its what the devs use for classification of sizes.
It looks like you provided lengths, @QGFSC, hence my misunderstanding! According to wikipedia, both the F70 and F100 are 92 ft 2 in, which places them between the E175 and and E190, but very much on the E190 side… hard to guess where these planes will go… I’d hope for S size though!
Length as in length of the fuselage,
Same because we really need more S planes that can use Jetways(Although the crj and dh8d should be able too…)
so ive heard and seen that some fokkers have built in stairways under the doorway i think boeing uses this too with the smaller varients, there are stairs built under the door way so they can use both stairs or the jetway if they have to
737s have it as an option, but they’re the only Boeings so close to the ground. Not sure about larger models as they’re much taller of the ground and have large passenger capacity.
wait what airlines operate the fokkers?
I Hope they don’t do the size on wingspans as B777-9 should be an X it’s 1ft longer then B747-8, but with its folding wings it’s 235 ft 5 in (71.75 m), 212 ft 9 in (64.85 m) [folded]
Qantas Link, Alliance and someone for Virgin Atlantic, not many nowadays, hopefully they add KLM Cityhopper even though they don’t fly them anymore.
Wingspan is how they do it currently.
The more planes they add the more it feels the system needs more nuance to it… especially if we get the B777-9 with foldable wings… that would be quite new to the game. I would assume they’d use the folded length though if added for planes with that tech.
I use to operate as crew on the F100 at EUjet. We had versions with both no stairs at FWD L1 door and those with stairs. Both are compatible with jet bridges as the stairs version has a fold out platform on the bulkhead to cover the gap between the aircraft and jet bridge. Some versions also had an L2 door as well as over wing exits.
Remember EUjet at Manston, was that where you worked or Shannon? Shame they went under really.
