I have noticed that, I was wondering if someone else had been noticing some sort of pattern. I kind of like it as people complained a ton because no C aircraft could fly from SYD-NGO or MCT. But @Thatflyerguy I might create a few more airport suggestions for generic airports for the devs or if an offical airport happens then theres bound to be either two generic or one more generic and one real. I kinda expect them to go like Real-generic-real-generic type of thing as it will be consistent with the airport connections.

Maybe. They have seemed a lot more hesitant about generic airports recently though, so it wouldnât surprise me if they werenât putting as much effort into them anymore.

Kinda need an airport in these areas to connect smaller C aircraft and B aircraft in the Oceanic and Asia Pacific areas.

Indonesia (Ideal)
Papua New Guinea (somewhat Ideal)
Brunei (Ideal)
Malaysia (not that Ideal)
Philippines (Not that Ideal)
Timor-Leste (Somewhat Ideal)

Given the number of players who are from Indonesia I feel like one of the Indonesian ones seems like a good guess as to what could be coming. Would nicely bridge SYD with BKK and HKG

I would hate to see CGK become a generic airport. It just has too much potential - with the non-standard architecture and the amount of trees and greenery so intertwined - to be relegated to generic.

Jakarta I feel is too large and snazzy for a generic whereas Denpasar is a cool looking one and shouldnât be relegated to a generic one due to the sea on both ends. Surabaya could make for a good midsize generic though, one runway, taxiway on both sides linking both terminals,

Well remember, generic doesnât mean forever. Could be a placeholder for impatient folks and then slowly cooked as a real airport in the background, then upgraded one day!

In principle, yes. But the devs have only so much time. And from a developing viewpoint itâs more interesting to add to the existing lineup than redo an existing one. This already happens.
Itâs not a question of possibility, but of opportunity.
Come to think of it, I wonder what they would do with the progress people have already made on a generic that gets replaced by the read deal?

Definitely GP, wouldnât work well to have 2 chains of airports, just 1 is better (INN-BRI-PRG-IAD etc)
