If it’s being shelved, it means it’s not profitable but they’re not scrapping it. Seems like they may have a go again in the future. If you read the above comment from Dreamliner, they seem to have a good explanation of what might’ve occurred.

Air Côte d’Ivoire, the national carrier of the Republic of the Ivory Coast, has signed a firm order for four Embraer E175 aircraft, with options for a further eight , as part of its fleet modernization and regional expansion strategy. Deliveries are scheduled to commence in the first half of 2027.

Pity Air Europa is in that eurowhite but glad to see them expanding their fleet. Quite the increase in long haul with only 18 current 787s which replaced the previous 17 A330s. Not too big an expansion I hope.

Eithad has one of biggest maintenance on record, plus they have A350, so not much different just a surprise order tbh.
